Even though I hate the rorters with a passion they showed what defence you need to win a comp, when they played souff's the week before the defence was outstanding, it will be more than a few years until we win a comp we just don't have the players, people might think at least it's not as bad as parra 32 years but it feels like forever, and it would be good to see the cheating storm, the rorters, sharks, souff's have a few seasons fighting for the wooden spoon.

For example 32 yers without a premiership would sound bad, but if you made the last 5 grand finals and lost, it's not too bad.

Compared to say 10 years without even making the grand final.

Not correct. Only 6 players from that team were in this years squad including Mbye who was only in due to Ennis’s injury.

I'd rather win 1 title every 10 years and come last the other 9 years then lose 10 gf's in a row with 0 titles.

As a kid growing up in the early 90s I used to view those 80s premiership as a long long time ago. This must be the feeling now for the post 2000 kids when they look at 2004.

And from 88 to 95 was only 7 years. It's already been 14 since our last.

It’s all gone perfectly to plan for the NRL, past 10 years or so.
Everyone’s a winner, fairytales, first time winners, scripted send off of retiring players, nsw, vic and qld teams win the last 3 keeps the National theme alive. Think about it.
No back to back winners for nearly 30 years....
