Would we be interested in Peta Hiku?

there are reports in the telegraph that Brenton Lawrence, Peta Hiku and Jamie Burher are been forced out by Manly to accommodate Dylan Walker.

I think Bulldogs should make a play for Peta Hiku if this is true.

Hiku/Hoppa are solid additions.

Walker is a gun addition.

Buher is meant to be going to Knights (he is rubbish never rated him, imagine only clubs like Titans/Tigpies/Knights would be silly enough to take his deal).

Lawrence was a good prop for Manly. I can only assume his injury is much worse to let him go. With Myles, Trob likely starting it also makes him a bit more surplus for them.

Near the end of last season I saw Peta Hiku at fullback for Manly and he was very impressive. IMO BMoz is still finding his feet at fullback and is not playing at his best. I think a more potent back line presuming all are fit, would be:

I would love to have hiku as our number 1 and bmoz to his preferred position, hiku still young and hasn't really had the chance to settle in one position, he gets shifted around in manlys backline too much. Would much rather him then hopoate or perret combined

has good size and footwork and can cover multiple positions in the backline

Hiku seems like a Luke Burt type of player. Reliable and able to cover a number of positions but not the gamebreaker that we need to win a premiership.
