Could be, or is it just Moley talking out of his backside again; but the part of that article that really grinds my gears is this:

I don't care how talented someone is, that should never be an excuse for them still being in the NRL ( in fact in any sport) if they continually infringe and thumb their nose at the game.

A lot of expert judges say Mundine has every right to be pissed about that result. I didn't watch the battle of has been a, so couldn't comment, but I can definitely comment on Mundine's position about the national anthem.......

I guess I can see why people don't like his position on the
anthem, but I get where he's coming from and protesting in this way is his fundamental right as a citizen of this country.

Personally I think our anthem is hypocritical. If I were an elite athlete, I wouldn't stand for it either... and I'm not even Indigenous. Our anthem is idealised nonsense that attempts to sugar coat the distinct nasty side of this nation's history and mentality...and that ugly side of our history must be acknowledged in order for us to move forward, evolve and become better.

I think overly prideful nationalism is the best way to ruin a good country and the world would be a better place without national anthems tbh. I'd be happy we scrapped our anthem altogether. Not changed. Just scrapped entirely.

Whatever you think of our anthem you should respect his right to protest...or else you don't respect this nation's fundamental values. If you think the anthem is more important than the values it supposedly represents, I think you're looking at things from the wrong angle.
