Why we still playing Desball?

It doesn't matter how many mistakes you make if you can defend them.

The problem our last few coaches have, is the false belief of having high completions = wins. It means jack shit.

Even losing the penalty or 6-again count means jack shit, unless the opposition make you pay. Notice roosters are happy to give away penalties as they can defend them.

It's what you do with your opportunities that decides whether you win or not.

And that means, having the will, smarts, skill and execution to convert chances into points.

We simply shoot ourselves in the foot everytime we fail to score from opportunities.

At least Barrett is acknowledging that our attack was shit and we should have scored points with all that ball. It is now up to him to make it happen.
I expect more changes for this week against Penrith.

Because we don’t have any experience to lead this club, players are so far out of their depth. Instead of burton should have aimed a lot higher, we’ve been without a genuine 7 for years.

Since then we've had 2 different coaches and a new team.

I know right we could have jest kept Des then if we were going to play the same way. At least he had a winning record. Last night was interesting we had so much tine in the oppositions 20 cant remember the exact stat but it was something like 40 tackles vs aboit 10 to storm but they were already ahead by 36. They were attacking and scoring from any part of the field. Why can’t we do that?

It’s the coach. It’s always the coach. We’ve had about 3 squads worth of different players since des left and none can attack. Same problems for years, the common factor is we hired coaches who were highly sought after assistants with no FG experience. We need a hard **** to come in and set these overpaid divas straight. We need someone who demands respect and who has won a comp or two

That's an interesting point.
With the speed of JAC and Dufty and also Naden, we should be looking to making breaks between our 30m to the oppositions 30. We obviously cannot construct a try when within the 20m so we really need to make breaks or get around teams in these 30 zones.

This is something the coaching team needs to identify, and then put into practice.

Hodkinson when he was playing properly and not on one leg was pretty decent. At the very least he was a halfback

Right now with our game plan we could have the NSW origin team and still fail. 100% we are the most poorly coached side with only the Tigers giving us a run for our money

Watch most games and in general attack is not what it used to be. Could either be because teams put a higher emphasis on defence or because talent pool has dried up. Whatever it is it’s not just the Dogs that look out of sorts.
