It comes down to blokes knuckling down, putting their egos aside, and working together. The same stuff our teams in the 80s, mid 90s, and mid 00s did very well.
I can see vast improvement if CC can be a huge influence with defence structures, fitness etc but the players coming to prominence in Penrith's team now have had the benefit of years of that structure and playing together to get to this standard.

It did. And they just kept getting better. Team dynamic enjoying their footy , and players wanting to play for coach/club/jersey actually helps lol.

When do you snap out of character? Flano is barely first grade worthy. You can't be a top line half who's only asset is defence. Kicking game is poor, running game does not exist, plays well before the line, turns the ball inside way too much, throws the odd floating cut out to the winger but other than that plays very robotically. He also cries at interviews and leaks to the media.

Cause his dad is a scumbag and he was part of the fox team of fkn clowns. Being dropped for poor performance despite the amount of games he has played to prove himself is not being treated disgracefully.
Barrett called a press conference trumpeting his signing, compared him to Nathan Cleary, and dropped him less than halfway into the season to cover for his own ineptitude, despite the fact he was still our best option. The club then allowed him to front a press conference despite the fact he was clearly in an emotionally vulnerable state. He was then named in the team several times later in the season, despite Barrett having no intention of playing him, in some dumbass attempt to play head games with the opposition. If you can’t see that’s an appalling way to treat a young half who’s already down on confidence, I don’t know what to say to ya, bro.
Flange was not treated well by Barrett but, on the basis that man without shoes must weep for man without feet, spare a thought for Brandon Wakeham. Wakes played 2 (yes 2) games of first grade and never got a look in after that, despite being solid all year - and occasionally brilliant - for reggies.
