Why is it no good to live in a unit?

I hear ya, when the wife and I finally got our own home I immediately cut a tree down. It didn't need cutting down I just wanted to do something without having to ask permission.

Even in your own home, you usually require council permission to cut down a tree. It's pretty absurd if you ask me.
