What is the board doing ?

The team listed this week is the worst we have ran out for a long time. I am not a fan of panic buying but we lost 2 members of our starting 13 before the season started and have done fark all to replace them.

Dont we have money to spend ?

Or are we just writing the season off ?

Players are swapping clubs left, right and centre on loan deals but we just sit back and roll out a team this week that would fair dinkum be lucky to beat an egg.

This isnt about future recruiting. Its about replacing players for this year that were de-registered so the fans dont have to put up with a sub-standard team every week. The following blokes cant make their teams top 17 but they would easily make ours :

Jake Granville
Billy Walters
Brent Naden
Tautau Moga

Have we enquired about loan deals for these players ? Are they interested in signing with us for the rest of the year ?

They acted urgently, the opportunity was presented by Covid-19 and they grabbed it, arranged for Thompson to play for us 6 months earlier. That's the CHN replacement sorted.
As for JO, maybe they are saving that wing spot for JAC or Makinson or another.
Or they could be keeping a spot open for Bateman and they are just waiting until the specialist confirms his target return date. They do have until 3rd August.

I doubt we'd get CHN back if we signed Bateman. Bateman, Jackson and Elliott are all starters. We also have Topine coming through. There's an argument that we shouldn't even be recruiting another second rower and instead stick with RFM until Topine is ready.

They always said we were going to struggle till 2021 from day one when they took over so I don’t know why everyone is bagging them and dean pay.

When they announced that our salary cap would not be fixed till 2020 and that they were building a war chest they showed everyone their hand.
At the time there were alot of decent players available in 2020 and mostly any half decent players were upgraded or signed elsewhere since.

Where is the slight of hand or the art of the deal?

This board likes to project themselves and their plans like they are paying lip service to justify their positions.
Honestly don't want to hear from them unless they are announcing a new player signing, sponsor or deal with a decent clothing brand.
