Walker is the best 5/8 in the game by a mile so I'd go with him and Reynolds @ halfback.

Id go Reynolds.
\Mitchell doesnt have a good record in big games and Origin in Brisbane is second biggest game to GF.

Luai can't be picked.

Luai works next to Cleary because Cleary takes on 90% of the playmaking load. Would be hard to play Luai next to Reynolds, Moses or Hynes. I personally think Moses is best fit because he's played at the 7 for the blues before, took his team to a GF last season, his kicking game is excellent and his goal kicking would be extremely important too. Play him next to Burton who also has a huge boot, he will unlock JAC and he's played with the Penrith boys before. Hynes off the bench again.

Where this "Moses has a great kicking game" has come from I'll never know. He has one kick, bomb it up hope for the best, since and repeat 80 times a game.

It probably depends on whether you are picking a half to win the series this year or are you looking for next season and beyond. Right now, you go with Reynolds, who can play with anyone. I would strongly consider Cody Walker to play 6, he's the only 6 that is closer to Munster on form, Luai is ordinary at best.

If you are happy to not write this series off but play the long game, Hynes at 7, with Luai at 6 (purely as he's been there before). Next year Cleary at 7/Hynes at 6.

I'd go the first option myself.

Wow...Gus wants Bitchell Moses lol
Moses has arguably the best kicking game in the NRL. I would pick him ahead of Hynes at 7 for sure. It's out of Reynolds or Moses. I only went Reynolds because I'd have Walker at 6 & the game is in Brisbane.

If NSW actually want a halfback pick Adam Reynolds, if he goes with Hynes then he clearly must not want the job anymore. Actually think Burton would even offer more then Hynes on an origin stage not saying his a better half but origin is more then a structured club system. QLD will handle Moses, fortunately for us he will be gunning for that spot and look who we play this week FMD. Hynes misses origin and we have to play him next week double FMD.
