I can't see a Ponga and Cleary combo working as both are quite ball dominant so in that situation, Edwards would get the nod.

However, if DCE is half-back, then I could see Ponga slotting in well.

Unless he has a great off season and puts on 6kgs and improves his tackle busts and defence...we will need a better FB to improve one step further for 2025 IMO.

Edwards you have to remember these sides are picked primarily from sides from prelim/GF and Edwards was awesome in Origin anyway. It’s either Edwards or Tedesco. Ponga won’t have played for a month, Walsh near two months. Rest are no hope at all.

I'd have Ponga as the Kangaroos 1. At his best he's way better than Edwards & he's been at his best lately.
