Well F#@K me sideways

an hour and a half spent building a slide to give to my youngest for his birthday (1 tomorrow).

Most of that time was spent using language that would make Assassin and SoH proud.

I must say, it was nice of them to include
1) too many nuts, bolts and washers (and not in even numbers mind you)
2) nuts bolts and washers that are not on the plans at all (different sizes).

Well screw you bunnings plastic / metal slide, I have built you, now it is time to sit down to a f#@king nice piece of cheesecake and a coffee and enjoy a job well (half arsed) done.

On another note a big happy birthday to my little man - you better enjoy the slide for many years to come

have you ever bought a difficulty level 5 transformer toy for your 8 year old? and tried to transform it reading the instructions?

I bet you would prefer building that slide with your eyes closed and one hand tied to your back.

Happy Birthday to junior.

I hate buying anything that requires assembly. Easier to train a monkey than me to follow the instructions they give you :grinning:

They ALWAYS give you the exact amount of bolts, washers and nuts.

You've just built it wrong.:slick:

Not always depends on if it was hand counted or machine counted , I worked in a factory long time ago supplying office table and I used to but in the screw bags and I never counted nuts bolts or screws

There are actually places that specialise in putting together flat pack furniture.

Those people are admirable and must have the calmest of nerves.

I get 5 minutes into building something and if its too hard I pull out the "f**k it" card almost instantly. :roflol:

You've got it all ahead of you Ecca, wait until you need to assemble a large trampoline on Christmas eve, after the kids go to bed (which is always late cause their so excited). Not to mention the 5 or so beers I had already had and then some more while assembling it.

Not something I want to ever do again.

Oh and happy 1st birthday to Ecca junior.

Lucky you don't work for Qantas , just imagine as the 747 takes off and you look back and see all those nuts and bolts left over

I remember building these for my first one and it was infuriating, 2nd time round I reckon I set a speed record.

Congrats in child #1

I used to build most of the toys my nephews got for one of my sisters on christmas eve. The two memorable things from those were that one of the neighbours helped build a trampoline and drove the hook on one of the springs right through his palm. And getting 4 wheels in the pack for a tricycle. Hope the little fella enjoys his slide Ecca.
