Who is the better man? WRX vs golf r?

Completely unprovoked my neighbour goes out and buys a golf r. It looks like a 2015 model so not brand new but still it was just unnecessary. He could have bought the GTi and not thrown a haymaker at me.

I have a wrx with some modifications , boost, exhaust, etc. Mine is mint with very low km. It's the 2.5 engine.

Am I still the better man or is the golf r the better car? Thus he is the better man

WRX is 195kw and 343nm 1410kg 138.3kw/tonne

What looks like a fair fight but I have a few aces up my sleeve

Do you drive them? Alot of those pretend trucks are just that. No balls under the hood, big barrel chested looks but no go..

A few things wrong there.

It's auto v manual.. let's compare golf r manual. Everyone knows a turbo car loses boost between changes in a manual. Auto will always be faster..

Xr6 turbo, automatic is fast against the stopwatch but the manual is about 1 second slower down the quarter

Not surprised with that video ... But let's go Manuel for manual.

Nah the r34 was the best made, next to the 32, then the 35, but then again my fd Rx7 batty and evo 9 will still smash the 35...


And I would rather the golf, only because I have owned a 97 wrx sti, and a 2005 wrx STI and they may be quick etc, but the name and Brand leaves a bad taste..!!
