Who is our long term fullback?

pretty sure parra will be playing Longi at fb from now on once gutho leaves so need for paps to go to parra
Would make more sense pappy at Parra. Sydney boy. Ex storm assistant coach. They’d be in the box seat for sure.

Storm reportedly offering him 750K a season. Is he worth more though considering the injury risks ? If this is all the Storm are offering though it seems like they're happy to let him move on. Someone else will sign him, Dragons maybe if we get Gutho

$750k + $200k in TPA’s which is $150k less than his current contract.

I'm going to say one thing on Burton where his detractors will be entitled to have a field day. It's no secret Gus is chasing Ben Hunt to be the halfback effectively putting an end to Toby Sexton. How many halfbacks would Burton have been through? This is something that is a detraction for Burton that his halfbacks seem to cop the brunt.
Thats coz its not always the HB fault....
How long do you think Panthers would have partnered Burton with Cleary?

Exactly. Zilch.
They had both players and chose Luai. In fact, they didnt stand in his way when he hadca better offer elsewhere.

You have your answer....

I’d have Papps in a heartbeat.
he might be the only FB available that I’d take over Trace.
To entice him t come to dogs u would have to offer him nearly a mill a year because that’s wha he would get on the open market. That’s how much another club would offer him

On the other hand, Paps grew up supporting the Bulldogs and the team is on the up. Still think he is a bit injury prone and hence why the Mexicans dropped his wages.
Stuff parra. We have money to spend and should g hard after him. He is definitely an x factor

According to reports Melbourne have offered him $750k on Cap + $200k in TPA's = $950k. Doubt that he would move for $50k.

Weilder’s report just say he “could earn an extra 200k”. He could likely earn this in top of his salary cap wage elsewhere too.

At first I hated the idea of signing Cobbo but if you look at his stats he’s a real tackle buster and a metre eater. Two things you want from a good FB.

Plus he’s only 22 and has big game experience.

I think his current deal is 625k and he wouldn’t leave QLD for less than 800k and a chance to play FB
Yeah thats the problem with Qld players. I think he had a problem with Kevy so maybe MaGuire will make a difference if he still wants him. Can't see why not. Many players played under their best and have had some issues at the Bronc's. So it may be a good change for them.

But Cobbo would be great at the Dogs. Reminds me a bit of Jamal Idris being tall and pretty big with big strides and hard to tackle. Has a sort of sloppy running style that just bounces off tackles lol. But Cobbo is better, has heeps more potential.

I think theres a young Bulldogs from reserves just promoted to the top 30 Jonathan Sua who looks pretty good. Tall and has speed and a good side step. Maybe not quite as heavy but will grow as he's only young.

Mate I thought Cobbo was the next big thing when he started but he's gone backward IMO. Massive talent and potential but isn't a team player. Maybe he'll grow out of the selfishness but I wouldn't want him right now. I don't think he's ready for Ciro after all those soft Broncos role models.
Yeah as I mentioned I think he had issues with Kevy. Maybe MaGuire will sort him out. May end up at Souths with Bennett. Then that would be a pretty awesome backline if it clicked.

Get Pappy,he's had his injuries, but he's worth it.
If he's going to get offered 950k from the Storm then we'd definitely have to offer at least another 100k + per year.

Do you know how many years Storm offered him?
