Yeah it's definitely Cook. Thurston was bad but at least you can sort of understand us backing halves that had taken us to a premiership. Cook was pure stupidity and Hasler's stubborness to stick with Lichaa. I still can't believe it.

players I wish never left (for whatever reason) -

Gary Connolly, Ewan McGrady, Jonathan Davies, Jim Dymock, Jason Smith, Steve Price, Johnathan Thurston, Roy Asotasi, Willie Mason, Nigel Vagana, Ben Barba, Dale Finucane, Martin Taupau, Damien Cook, and Curtis Rona
Good to see McCracken isnt in the list. But you missed the players that left in the '80s when they brought in the draft...

Curtis Rona. We stopped scoring tries since he left.
Yes it was a shame it went to Rugby Union. I saw him play for the Western Force in Perth and you wouldn’t believe he scored right in front of us. After what I saw, he was still better as a Rugby League Player (in a Bulldogs Jersey)

Brett Dallas, ended up at North Sydney Bears. Wish we kept him but we had good depth back then
