He is out of his depth as a starting hooker and as a NRL player for mine.

Our lack of depth at hooker is the only reason he's playing NRL. He wouldn't get a start for any other side IMO.

His lack of size, ball playing and ball running wouldn't suit lock for mine. He would get totally buckled taking a hit up.
"For mine"-lol; "for mine"....lol

I respect your opinion Spoonman, but I honestly think we will see JMK at 13 sometime & somewhere in the future.

This is just my honest opinion from what I see and from where the game is heading with most teams looking for that ball playing small forward at 13.

I know it might sound a little outlandish, but I'll try and share with you the reasons behind my thoughts.

He came to the club as a halfback which requires different passing skills than playing at 9 & better suited to that ball playing lock role.

We have all seen how quick off the mark he is & the speed he posses.

Transfer that to getting the ball off a flat pass from dummy half to target slow forwards with the aim of getting a quick play on tackle 4 as Cam Murray does to set up the next play.

He currently handles his defensive roll in the middle & certainly isn't a spot defender & misses few tackles.

He would have to put on a few kg's as Brandon Smith has done, but his frame is deceptively big if you look at the following stats -

JMK is taller than 3 of the NRL's leading small lock forwards.

JMK - Height = 186cm (6ft-1inch) Weight = 83 KG - https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league/players/jeremy-marshall-king/

Cam Murray - Height = 184cm (6ft) Weight = 90 KG - https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league/players/cameron-murray/

Victor Radley - Height = 182cm (5ft- 11 inch) Weight = 92 KG - https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league/players/victor-radley/

Brandon Smith - Height = 180cm (5ft- 11 inch) Weight = 94 KG - https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league/players/brandon-smith/

I know many of you will think I'm Mad & believe that JMK is not 1st grade standard, but it honestly believe that his best days in the NRL are ahead of him, and in my opinion that will be at 13 or as a 14 coming on to play that 13 role.

Time will tell.

I got a sneaky suspicion that JMK will be at the Dolphins next year.

Then our Hooker depth will be Mahoney, Cook & BBO.

I still think JMK would make an excellent 14 in todays game coming on at 13 or 9.

I got a feeling someone will turn him into a good 13.

He cops a worse wrap on here than he deserves.
Dolphins already have harrison Graham - genuine 9, and Ray Stone (more of a 13 / backup 9).. just not sure they would bother signing jmk.. can get better options from reserve grade on minimum wage

JMK is far to dumb to play another position, would never be a Murray or a Radley ever.

Lloyd Perrett is a fringe QCUP player for the Norths Devils but has been playing for the Valleys Diehards in the BRL A Grade comp.

Wasn't he the next big thing
Pretty sure when we signed Sam people were saying the ‘real’ coup was Lloyd and then even got annoyed at the club for not playing him/letting him go lol

Cogger would've been a handy back up to have around. And Stanley was actually a naturally gifted footballer, it's just unfortunate that he was as brittle as an 80yo.

The rest were rubbish.
