Yeah I have voted Burton, in the few games he has played in the halves you can see that he puts players in two minds is he going to pass it or is he going to run, or will he kick it. Those outside of him will get plenty of opportunity of them trying to shut him down and him feeding his outside men for plenty of points.

A player like Dufty or TPJ maybe give us an extra 6 points a game each but I think Burton will add closer to 12-18 points per game. He is going to make players around him look good.

About the only weakness i have seen in his game is he sometimes doesn't always hit and stick in defense. But already has better defense than many first grade halves.

It’s crazy he’s only just turned 21 definelty won’t be an issue as he grows bigger and gets more experience remember he’s still sooooo young

That is a huge call. A lot of those teams are picked based on form of the player's club team as an example, I think Cody Walker is much more talented than Cameron Munster.

Can't see us competing with Melbourne for some time.
True, but in his short career thus far, he has done things that only very special players can do. I expect the dogs to be pretty good in 18 months.

all of the new signings pretty much are known of their capabilities in the nrl. hopefully they gel quickly.
I've picked Josh Cook as a player I'm keen to see. If he comes good then happy days for a long time in a position we've struggled for ages.
Agree, this is going to be a game changer within itself, the experience they will bring will instill confidence within our youth ranks and invite a good mix of talent. We should be competitive vying for a top 8 spot.

While burton is number 1 I’m really intrigued to see the entire backline.
the running and passing threat that dufty CAN be could allow averillo and burton a lot of one on one chances and vice versa. Averillo and burton could give dufty some space with their running threats.
it’s been a very long time since we have had an electric backline and this one could be special
1. Dufty
2. Jac
3. Shoupp
4. Naden
5. Cotric
6. Burton
7. Averillo
Depending on how he develops Alamoti could be a Smokey for a centre spot towards the end of the year.

Burton has a lot of expectation but he is footy smart. He will deliver.

I think dufty will be involved quite a bit and surprise a few. He likes to get his hands on the ball and throw cut out passes. Expect to see him score tries.

I am scared about ado Carr. He has been my fave player in the nrl for a long time. When we signed him I almost cried. But I’m scared he won’t be as effective at the dogs. He seems to be down on pace and not as lightning in clear field. I really hope he isn’t cotric 2.0

I think Pangai will be solid but nothing too flash

naden is a quiet lad. May surprise, may not. Who knows. Same with Vaughan

I'm looking forward to see how all the new guys go & how long it takes for them to play well together. It's a new era at the club & hopefully gets a game plan together that suits the players & not get everyone playing how he wants them to play. There is a significant increase in attacking ability that has been added & the forwards look pretty good too. If we gel well together quickly, there is an outside chance to make the 8.

RIP Big Kev!

Burton is the favourite antiscipate he will perform finally got a geniune star player in the mix who is only going to get better and better.

Dufty has sheer pace will back up fowards look for offloads and provide an attacking threat. Don’t watch dragons games but vaguely remember his quick of the mark which is huge in rugby league.

Vaughen is solid will give us go foward not much else to say.

TPJ honestlt unsure about but if he can be consistent he will provide a threat, an offload, and slot in nicely in our foward pack.

never thought I would see addo car in a dogs jersey cant wait to see him play give him a bit of space his away. Going to be good to see our foward pack dominating and the likes of Burton and addo cat thriving.

Dont know much about Cook decent highlight reel got see him at a top grade level.

Naden is another threat in a solid backline.

asiata has his chance not expecting much.

I know he doesn't qualify as a new signing but I'm really keen to see how Hetherington goes playing a bit wider

If he can control his discipline and tackling style he could be a real weapon out wide

If he is managed properly he can
Sprinters dont hit their peak until early 30’s
I hope he continues top level for 4+ years in the Blue & White.... the difference with sprinters is they are not getting belted regularly like footy players, it eventually takes its toll..

What about combinations instead of individual players???

Burton and JAC I'm keen on seeing link up whether it be through passing or kicks
Agreed re combo's....... cant wait for the offseason barbecues with Vaughn & Naden...... barbecued meat & chang......fucking AWESOME!!!!!
And with no idiot floating about you are less likely to have your misses hit on while she heads to the loos for a hit & miss...

Haven't watched a huge amount of Panthers games. But Burton looks pretty good. His long kicking game is probably the best in the game, not sure about short kicks, but can't be worse than we've had regularly since Reynolds and Keating were our 6 & 7. He's a great ball runner too. I don't know if he's an organiser, but looks like he's got good instincts.

But we have genuine attacking threats throughout the backline and a bit of added oomph in the forward pack to look forward to as well.
