What is your favourite (CURRENT) TV Show

Just finished Lioness season 2, was a good season and I have no idea if they are making a third.

Been watching clips of Breaking Bad and I think its time I watch it again.

Currently watching Adolescence on Netflix, 4 episode mini series.

My goodness, the entire first episode, something like 40-45 mins, the ONE camera followed the characters around the entire time, no different camera angles or retakes, all ONE filming session.

And I gotta say, it's pretty damn good, 1 episode in.
Did you finish this yet?

I finished it, was interested in what you thought of it. The ending in particular I found particularly heart breaking.
**SPOILERS**

I agree that the ending was heartbreaking, very sad.

To be honest I thought that it was going to come to a head, such as a reason as to why the kid did what he did, with some kind of twist that would've made it seem like it was a justified act, however that didn't happen so I thought that bit was a little disappointing.

Reading some reviews afterwards, it seems like the show was meant to highlight online bullying and what a child could be going through inside their mind without their parents knowing, thinking that the kid could be ok but in really is fighting his own demons.

The filming all done in one take per episode was what I found to be amazing... all it would've taken is one goof for the whole take to be stuffed. Never seen that before.

I thought the same as you, we would get a court case and more reasons as to why etc. But I think they pretty much nailed it for what they were trying to achieve.

That situation in real life wouldn't have a satisfactory ending for anyone involved, and that's what they delivered. The way it was shot was brilliant and just added to the tension, not sure if tension is the right word really, not sure how to describe it, but whatever it was it packed a punch, almost like you were part of it as an observer. Acting was top notch too.

Started binge watching Paradise on Disney Plus. I'm 4 episodes in but I don't think I'll finish it. It's a kind of interesting concept, but it has been done better on other shows and it's super predictable.

There's a scene where the guy that knows everything is about to tell the main character the whole conspiracy, then he says "But it can wait until tomorrow" and the main character knowing he's about to learn the whole thing, just agrees to wait until tomorrow to learn the full revelations of the show. I think anyone that's ever watched any conspiracy show knows exactly what's going to happen next.

Terrible writing. And it's slow. Super slow. The show is 90% pointless flashbacks. Like, really bad writing. I'm not even sure why this show exists.

Against my better judgement, I watched the rest of the show. It gets a lot better. Still has some major issues but episode 6 it suddenly picks up. Episode 8 is excellent and I would recommend anyone interested, just watch episode 7. Episode 8 is good too, but the twist is stupid. It does set up for a potentially good second season, but I don't have that much faith it will get renewed based on the feedback the show received.

If you want to watch the show, watch episode 1 to understand the premise, then jump forward to episode 6. 'cause the rest is just slow, boring filler.

Hells yeah

For anyone wanting to watch season 2 (which will be out in a few weeks), it won't be available on binge like the first season, HBO are bringing their own streaming service down here, so yep another damn streaming service, it launched today. If you have foxtel, you will get the basic version of max for free(contains adds and requires internet).

It will be available here:

Or you can use the power of the internet to get the shows at a drastically reduced price....

I'm two episodes in to The Bondsman on Prime Video. It's a very cookie cutter TV show that's been done many times before, but Kevin Bacon makes it good.

The basics of it is that Kevin Bacon is a Bail Bonds Bounty Hunter and he gets killed, but the Devil sends him back to earth to hunt Demons.

As I said, it has been done many times before but Kevin Bacon makes the show a lot better than you would expect. It gets really gory too with some entertaining deaths.

Very much feels like it's influenced by Supernatural right down to the Southern USA town.

Just finished watching it.

So many questions and they've left it up to us to contemplate the answers to several vexing problems occurring in our current society.

See this article summarising the situation. Very scary stuff unless this is dealt with very soon. I fear for my grand daughter getting caught up in on-line bullying and advised about not participating bc we just don't know where it will end up. Influencers like Andrew Tate certainly don't help. Netflix are going to screen the show free to all UK schools apparently. Like to see it shown here so discussions and solutions can begin to happen.

(Link might not work but it's a SMH article if anyone's interested).

Binge watched the whole series. Why? Probably because the episodes are short. Is it worth watching? Kind of, but not really. If you just feel like watching something simple with entertaining gore and you don't have high expectations, then it's alright.

Finishes on a pretty full on cliffhanger though, and there's no way this show is getting a 2nd season.

It's very easy watching late at night. Smashed through 3 episodes already.

Hope they do renew it

@Hacky McAxe has daredevil finished airing the first half the season yet? I've completely avoided spoilers and I'm too afraid to look it up.
