When opposition players have the ball and seem to dance around and no one comes forward to tackle them, it's because you just can't.

Rushing out of the line is a huge risk, if you miss you've now left a hole and a dangerous situation. (Reynolds does it)

Exactly as post suggests above. They are taught to keep a straight line in defense and in those situations stay straight and let the attacking team come to you. The second a player rushes up it creates holes and places huge pressure on both your inside and outside men.

Our intensity in attack and defence has dropped big time ,we aren't aggressive at all like we were earlier in the year hoping it changes soon

I understand but last night showed two different styles.
Parra had plenty of line speed and were not afraid to smother us and kill our offloads.
Doggies failed to move up and let Parra get the ball out.
The Parra try in the corner was a little disappointing.

Most of the posters on this forum are impossible to please.

We've just broken a 4 game losing streak with a tough win. The game was played very slow because the ruck wasn't free flowing. Parr were also playing for their season.

The positives are:

1. We held onto the ball
2. Defence was a lot better
3. Attack, particularly in the first half was more free flowing
4. Our forwards in the first half ran a power game.
5. We held on in the second half despite not having the momentum or possession.

We still have Kas and frankie to come back which will help us bend the line.

All in it's a step in the right direction. This win will give the boys confidence in the lead up to the semis. Remember semi final footy is a completely different ball game.

Tolman was enormous for us. Without him, I can't see us winning that game.

Good on Tolman getting the MOM, with troops coming back we could be building plenty of momentum into September.

We should be able to add more line speed while still keeping a straight line.
