Saturday mornings! Oh waking up full of energy, the entire weekend in front of you, eating cereal and watching Saturday morning cartoons followed by running outside and playing footy with the neighbours. These days kids are making play dates :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

They have NO IDEA how good things were back in the days.

These days, Saturdays are already planned with errands and other things we need to do lol.

When an ideal Saturday was hiring a video from Civic Video/Video Ezy and watching that movie while eating pizza from the local pizzeria, and actually spending time with family.

Also playing video games with family and friends, swapping the controllers around everytime someone either died or completed that stage for games like Streets or Rage, Double Dragon, or Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

Remember sharing around video game cartridges in school. If it weren't for that, I would never have got my hand on Ninja Gaiden.

Also, I remember guys bringing in 3 or 4 floppy disks with games on them (stacks of games) fully installable and share them around the group. We'd take the entire bundle home, install them all, then give it to the next person the following day. Games I remember:
  • Commander Keen
  • Bio Mance
  • Halloween Harry
  • Blake Stone
  • Scorched Earth
  • Raptor
  • Death Rally
  • Secret Agent
  • Duke Nukem
  • Wolfenstein
  • Wacky Wheels
  • Skunny Kart
