I was always a big fan of those gritty 1970s films set in New York. Death Wish, Taking of Pelham 123 (the original one), Marathon Man, Serpico are some other great ones.I watched that again a couple of months ago, for the first time in 30 or more years...

wow, havent thought of one of those for probably 30+ years
yep my olds would kick me out of the house lol. If Dad came into the room and I was laying on my bed doing nothing he'd be like, "You want me to give you something to do?". That was his way of saying get off your arse and go and do something.

I prefer B-grade action movies from the late 80s and 90s - black cop, white cop-type buddy movies lol.I was always a big fan of those gritty 1970s films set in New York. Death Wish, Taking of Pelham 123 (the original one), Marathon Man, Serpico are some other great ones.

I recognise that place. I mean the very building is still there, just without all those Timezone and Pizza Hut signs. IIRC, these days you walk downstairs and there's this very run-down Asian food court. It's probably been 3-4 years since I went there though so not sure what it's like inside, if they've refurbished it or something. This was on Pitt St, not George St. It was up towards The Hilton before Pitt St Mall.
