We need to have a serious sit down and conversation with Cotric

I'm looking at the backline and how it's shaping next year.
I'm thinking it's not that hard to get a centre (Gildart, Bronson, Dugan etc) but it's tough To get a fullback.

We need a fullback and Cotric has played fullback and centre. He was good at fullback but not centre.

As per his wishes, we have bought him as a centre.

We need to get a rapper to sit in a room with Barrett, Furner, Laundy and Hill and bring food and ask if he truly wants to be a centre. And why? Ask him if fullback could be his future. What's motivating him to be centre? Cash money? If so he can do Fb.
Does he want to be at the line?

We need to figure out where he's going to be. Guide him to fullback if possible, then get Crichton to replace him in the centres. With the lure of the other Crichton.

Fullback is a specialist position can't just expect people to play there with no experience. In the modern game you need the skill sets of a half with speed also. Makes me laugh how wingers think they can do it easy like DWZ, Addo-Carr....ect they got no ball skills only want to get paid fullback money. Cotric a good back but does he have ball skills?

He's a centre anyone who says otherwise is blinded by the fact that Ricky moved him to the wing because it was impossible to move Leilua and Croker at the time he came into grade. He also hasnt been centre with Scott out that much because it's Ricky's last resort option as he gets no development or progression out of doing so as he's leaving

I think it's much more complicated for sure but I don't think it's some complex intricate puzzle.
RL is a simple game.
A good fullback has speed and fleet of foot.
Size is an interesting angle and it worked with Inglis until he got too fat.

Cotric just has to jump into the backline every now and then.

Cotric could do it after 3/4 games. I'm also pretty sure he's played a bit there already and done ok.

Was watching Reimis Smith the other day and wondering what HE wants to do on the footy field too, because it's not apparent the way he plays. I'm sure the coach will have a good talk with him, and work out what's best for him and the club. We don't want to start the season with a top money player upset about how he is being used.

Down side is he probably had about 10-15kg less muscle back then, so not too sure if he still has the speed and acceleration he once had. Cotric is a power player at the moment. Solid build, and matches up well with modern wingers. Will do great at centre, probably will be behind staggs as the premier centre in the comp. As a fullback? it will be the great unknown. I know when he first came in he wanted to play fullback, not sure if he has the body to do all the running though. If brett morris couldnt cut the running I doubt Cotric will.

I hope Tbaz incorporates the Panthers youth model and try something like Cotric and Shuoop as our centres at some point.
