in Australia we have many unstable people but it never crossed their minds to get a gun and kill everybody, if they had a gun then they would start thinking about it

For a country with 327,000,000 people, that means there are 66,147,000 MORE FIREARMS THAN PEOPLE!

Even if the laws changes (which they won't) they will STILL be able to smuggle them in from Columbia more easily than it can be done here, and they will STILL have nearly 400,000,000 firearms in the country that won't disappear overnight!

Don't get me wrong though - I am all for a change in the 2nd amendment. But the problem with their society is culture first, and second is accessibility to guns.

Still won't work. Doesn't take much to dig a hole in the backyard and dump a gun in it, and or hide it beneath a floorboard underneath a carpet rug. Remember the problem there is the unregistered guns - there's no record of who has them or where they are.
