This came up in a congress hearing. Apparently Melania got into the US in the first place on an EB-1 visa. What is that?

The EB-1 visa is a preference category for United States employment-based permanent residency. It is intended for "priority workers". Those are foreign nationals who either have "extraordinary abilities", or are "outstanding professors or researchers", and also includes "some executives and managers of foreign companies who are transferred to the US".

I guess pretending you like rotten roast beef shroom for 20+ years is an extraordinary ability.

Interesting development, Trump calling for Netanyahu’s corruption trial to be ended, or Netanyahu to be pardoned. Perhaps, Netanyahu is running out of distractions for the trial, now that the conflict with Iran seems to be settled. Or it could just be two lovers trying to make up after Trump’s dressing down of Israel over violating the ceasefire earlier in the week.
 
The Whitehouse is carrying out a coordinated propaganda campaign in an attempt to convince everyone that the bunker buster bombs completely annihilated the Iranian nuclear facilities. This included Hegseth grilling a room full of reporters for being "anti-Trump"

The Supreme Leader has released a public statement saying that the bombs did very little damage at all.

That's the Iranian Supreme Leader. Not to he confused with the US Supreme with Extra Cheese Leader

Apparently Netanyahu told Trump that he would end the war in Gaza in 2 weeks if the US bombed Iran.
 
Just to impress how stupid Americans are - the VOA spokeswoman Kari Lake was questioned by Congress on foreign language VOA services. This person has spent over 30 years in Journalism. And was part of the task force that cut back VOA services.

Was asked what language they speak in Armenia? Said, filibuster don't know.

The Senate members were given a secret briefing on the Iran intelligence surrounding the strikes on the nuclear sites. As expected, the Republican senators backed Trump's claims.

The Democratic Senators, including a former CIA analyst and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee stated that there was definitely damage to the sites, but there's no way to know how much damage and the documents they were provided showed that the US military and US intelligence don't know how much damage they caused, and have no idea if they actually destroyed the sites.
 
So now “ daddy” Trump is telling Spain, Aus and heavens knows who else just what they should be spending on defence or he won’t play nice. Our Prime Minister has not even met with Trump since the President was elected, “daddy” having dodged him successfully on a couple of occasions. Joe Hockey has warned the prime minister he needs to transact with Trump or risk offending him. I am offended that the president thinks he is above everyone else. What a crazy world we live in.

Easy. Agree to increase D spending by 2050 to 5% but only with a rock solid guarantee on AUKUS. In 3 and a half years we ditch the 5%, still get AUKUS and the US is doing nada at that time except apologising to the known universe.
