I don't think it was due to attacks. Apparently it was because there were reports of groups organising protests in many major cities including Austin, TX. So rather than treating it like a normal protest, the governor decided to turn it into a publicity stunt to make Trump happy.

Just a bit of perspective for anyone that hasn't been to LA. It's an absolutely massive huge sprawling city. The 'riots' this week were in a tiny section in downtown LA. I guarantee any tourist on Hollywood Bld getting their photo taken with Chewbacca, or anyone in Venice Beach unsuccessfully trying to look cool, did not notice anything untoward going on in LA this week. I think things will be much more interesting this weekend when a lot more cities join in the party.

Interesting related thing. During the Hegseth grilling yesterday, Mitch McConnell asked Hegseth about who was the aggressor in the war. This is interesting for two reasons. Firstly, Hegseth clearly states that Russia is the aggressor. Secondly, and more importantly, USA shows that they have some extremely advanced necromancy programs. Because there's no way McConnell is a living human being. At best, he's a high functioning zombie.

Seen the full video. Not great. All he really did is jump in with a question when crater face was doing some weird ass talk to camera during a presser.

Guarantee. No Kings Day is gunna be spectacular.

Watched parts of that. Some quality moments like when he basically said that Australia, UK and other allies were useless as USA does everything, and when asked if he would withdraw the marines from LA if ordered by a court, he refused to answer.
 
Israel has just launched a large scale attack targeting all of Iran's nuclear sites. They have also gone into high alert expecting retaliation.

Earlier the US started pulling key people out of the Middle East. Looks like the full scale war is starting.

They think they have taken out the head of the revolutionary army. And the argument is they will not dismantle nukes.

So how exactly does this work when 1) the weapons are US and supposedly won't give weapons to Ukraine who are defending but will to an aggressor and 2) guessing rocket man who has directly threatened the US mainland surely must be next.

There is a chance he has severe BPH (enlarged prostate) and needs a catheter to pass urine. I have had one of these, and they are no fun!
This begs the question: when he was president and needed to have a full colonoscopy, he refused to have it done as he would need to relinquish the presidency for the duration of his anesthesia, probably an hour or two.
If he needs a catheter to pass water, he will almost certainly need a TURP or other surgery to relieve the problem or it will only get worse and possibly develop (if not already) into full renal failure or cancer.

A federal judge has blocked Trump from deploying the National Guard in LA stating that the move was illegal and control of the guards need to be turned over the Governor Newsom.

The guards will stay in effect until Trump's team file their appeal.
