Sorry I'm a bit slow responding to you. I agree with most of what you wrote, but.....

When I posted before I had read two so-called fact checks. One of them (from a right wing site) listed 15 bare faced lies from Biden and only mentioned Trump in passing. The other, from ABC (the American one not ours) only "fact checked" Trump and ignored Biden, and found the remarks split about 60:40 true". The "true " was sometimes qualified, as in "true but requires some unpacking", which loosely translates to "we don't like admitting this item is true but we can't avoid it". Since then I have read a few others. There are plenty to pick from, all of them left leaning, and all of them only interested in fact checking Orangemanbad. They aren't all in lock step but they certainly don't support your claim that "every fact check showed the opposite". Perhaps you need a fact checker?

First point, when you suggest that you didn't say that "Trump only stretched the truth a little while Biden straight out lied", here's your exact words:

Have you got a comprehension problem? I made a comment in my earlier post, with which you seemed to take issue. In my second post, I was explaining the information I found that got me to my position, which I have no interest in trying to massage or wind back.

Regarding the attempted misdirection, the anti-Biden one (which probably wouldn't interest you) was not a fact check but a tweet, and as such has limited value:

Let's count Joe BIden's *LIES* last night, shall we? 1. "Suckers and losers" lie 2. "Hitler did good things" lie 3. "Fine people" lie 4. "My son died in Iraq" lie 5. "I capped insulin at $15" lie 6. "I capped Medicaid drug expenses at $200" lie 7. "Retaliation" lie 8. "Trump said he would be a dictator" lie 9. "No soldiers died on my watch" lie 10. "Border crossings fewer than Trump" lie 11. "Unemployment was 15% under Trump" lie 12. "Trump wants to get rid of Social Security" lie 13. "Billionaires pay 8.2% in taxes" lie 14. "Trump said inject bleach" lie 15. "Border patrol endorsed me" lie

The second one, which I gave you enough information to find, and which Doogie Doogie kindly found and reposted, makes absolutely no attempt to fact check Biden (you're the bloke that brought up biases) and gave Trump passes (sometimes reluctantly) on several claims.

I enjoy this thread, people post some interesting stuff on here, but I am not trying to change anyone's mind. I doubt if that would be possible. What interests me particularly is the pathological hatred of Trump exhibited by some posters. Trump doesn't strike me as a person I would want to hang out with (for one thing he's a teetotaler) but I can't view him as a hybrid of Saddam Hussein and the Ayatollah Khomeini). If that makes me a Trump supporter in your eyes then you are the one with the problem.
 
News emerging that Biden is talking to his family about his campaign so maybe there’s growing pressure for him to drop out. It’s being denied officially but who knows. If that happens assume it just goes to the DNC. Could be bad changing leaders so late but also maybe what’s needed. Getting interesting…
