Probably not thread but, Reuters: hundreds of Iran Protestor killed 15 mins ago.

One thing I actually agree with Trump about is that the current Iranian government is an atrocity and they need to go. They decreed that anyone protesting is an "enemy of God" and will be executed. While they have killed hundreds of protesters, they have arrested thousands and those thousands will be executed.

The theocratic government has always been a problem. Not sure it would be any better if the royal family returned, but the current setup isn't working.

The part I disagree with Trump on is that he's negotiating trade deals with them. If they give him what he wants, he'll most likely sit back and let them execute as many as they like.

Caught the tail end of news report, and not sure who he was saying let them protest it out too risky for usa to become involved given the state of the world currently...

I saw that truck driver and his truck video from the LA protests regarding Iran

I bet you if his sign didn't say "NO SHAH" on his truck, they wouldn't have attacked him lmao (his sign said no regime and no mullah too lmao)...

This shah person isn't going to save Iran or make it change for the better, history has shown this already with his father right?

Also trump talking about killing protesters in a foreign land, he should look in his own backyard regarding killing protesters lol...

Yes, but a lot of that is on Trump.
He’s bombed Iran, destabilised Venezuela, threatened Canada and Greenland (and by proxy NATO+EU), completely failed to get a deal between Russia and Ukraine, the Mid-East is never fully stable and not to mention issues at home. There’s no way the Seppos could effectively fight a war at the moment and if we look at their last major effort being the ‘War on Terror’: 7000+ dead soldiers and 20+ years ending with the Taliban back in power in Afghanistan. They got Saddam and Osama but what else do they have to show for it?

The shah and his family are not an option. You'd effectively be replacing one authoritarian government with a dictator who would sell out his own people to USA

Iranians have shown quite a few uprisings the past few years. IMO they should be left to their own accord, as I personally believe they'll eventually overthrow the mullahs and set up their own democracy with the will of their own people

I only really see 2x certain Iranian groups pushing for the "shah" and his family, I won't name them, but they are making themselves really obvious now lol

Doesn't sound like the regime change operation in Iran is going too well for the US -

Comparing Trump to the RADICAL ISLAMISTS is laughable. Unlike them Trump is liked in America and world wide. The people stand with Trump!

Oh - another one with literacy issues? Did I say Lebanon? Hezbollah?

Since English is probably your 7th language, I'll put this down to a translation issue.

Hey mate,

I'm not very educated on the topic but just know as I'm having my dinner i noticed in Sydney there is a protest for Free Iran kinda thing. One obvious thing that stood out is the greens, left and Trans community is not present for it.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the Iranian people are waiting to end dictatorship and have freedom.
2000 protesters have not been murdered on the streets of Iran for simply protesting.

Why would the Sydney community that marched for Free Palestine, Free Global Warning and Vote Yes not also get behind this movement.

Womens rights is the main objective so I would assume this would be a ideal situation to get out on the streets and close the bridge down again?

I look forward to your response.

Wow. Didn't that English improve rapidly.

Trans protestors? In one sentence you say end dictatorship. Two sentences later its about womens rights.

But lets park all that. Iran protesting has been in place for just over 2 weeks. And what started it? Cost of living. And why is the Iranian cost of living going south? Trade sanctions. And why are there trade sanctions? Because a country that is not a member of the IAEA doesn't like a country who is a member of the IAEA having nuclear stuff.

As for why they are not protesting, ask them. I'm centre left you see. So you'll have to find a greens, left or trans person and ask them. Now I might know a guy who knows a trans person.....

The assistant US Attorney for Minnesota and many Minnesota prosecutors and law makers have resigned after Trump effectively told them that they have to stop investigating the ICE shooter and instead make the investigation about how the victim was a criminal.

Well, apparently someone from within DHS has just released the personal details of around 2000 DHS staff. 1700 odd frontline and 300 back room staff. Websites that had been aggregating ICE data (compiling lists based on my neighbour is, people in hotels etc.) have started to cross reference and it appears legit.

Not a big fan of this but this I guess is the consequence of trying to act with impunity.

They cover their faces because they KNOW there's going to be consequences when this administration is over. The Nazi fucks KNOW what they're doing is illegal and wrong.

So let them be exposed.
