Actually asked a simple question. You failed twice to answer it. And posted piccies...

And one of em is a promo photo and the other a training photo. Guess you found one that was legit.

They all were clearly ID'd as ICE when they did LA. Since then - nah. Oh look - all the Minnie ICE just say Police.

And - since they're legit and doing a great job - shouldn't they be proud of that? Don't see FBI wearing a Police vest with some really small print maybe somewhere.

Oh I know - those deadly immigrants. 32 people have died in ICE custody. How many ICE have died from immigrants? Reckon you're struggling to find one....

Just so I can put you out of your misery

In 2026, numerous federal law enforcement agencies continue to use "POLICE" on their uniforms and tactical gear. This is primarily done to provide immediate, universally recognized identification in high-stakes environments, even if the agency’s official name does not include the word.

The following federal agencies are authorized to wear "POLICE" on their uniforms or tactical vests:
Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Federal Protective Service (FPS): Often referred to as the "Federal Police," these officers provide security and law enforcement at over 9,000 federal facilities.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE): Agents from Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) frequently wear "POLICE" vests during arrests and tactical operations.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP): While the Border Patrol has its own uniform, tactical units like BORTAC may use "POLICE" markings during joint operations or federal building protection.
U.S. Secret Service (USSS): The Uniformed Division and specialized units (Counter Assault Team, Emergency Response Team) utilize "POLICE" identifiers.

Department of Justice (DOJ)
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI): Agents and tactical teams like the Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) and SWAT wear "POLICE" or "FBI POLICE" markings on their gear.

U.S. Marshals Service (USMS): Deputy Marshals and the Special Operations Group (SOG) wear "POLICE" to signify their law enforcement status during fugitive apprehensions.

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA): Agents often wear tactical vests marked "POLICE" or "DEA POLICE" during raids.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF): Agents utilize "POLICE" markings on their field gear.
Bureau of Prisons (BOP): Their Special Operations Response Teams (SORT) often use "POLICE" identifiers.

Other Major Federal Agencies
U.S. Park Police (USPP): A full-service federal law enforcement agency that manages many national parks and federal lands.

U.S. Mint Police: One of the oldest federal law enforcement agencies, responsible for protecting the nation’s precious metal reserves.
NASA Police / Protective Services: Protects critical facilities like the Kennedy Space Center.
Department of State (Diplomatic Security Service): Agents frequently wear "POLICE" vests during protective details or tactical assignments.
Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA): Includes the Pentagon Police, who secure the Department of Defense headquarters.
Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA): Provides police services on tribal lands.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Police: Provides security for medical research facilities.

IM not confusing anything at all.
Im saying they have every right to get these grubs out of their country.
HEs the leader so he decides how thats done.its not that complicated.
Thanks for engaging in this discussion with me, but you are clearly very confused. Your reply to me actually confirms my assertion that you are confused. The fact that your denial contains further evidence of that confusion would be humourous to an unkind person.

Oh - so you asked Elon. Now thats reliable. How about protocol based on statute? Even have links for you as well.

Depending on the circumstances of the arrest, federal law enforcement officers may be in violation of federal law if they fail to properly identify themselves. According to Title 8 § 287.8, “only designated immigration officers are authorized to make an arrest,” and they are required to identify themselves as an immigration officer as soon as it is “practical and safe.” Recent reporting has noted that officers making arrests have failed to identify themselves or their agency in instances when it was “practical and safe” even when asked directly, potentially violating this provision.

Oh look - mum killer didn't properly identify himself. Don't see ICE anywhere.... And just to add to this, since he walked in front of the car and was talking with her, obviously it was practical and safe.

The premise of the question is fundamentally flawed because it ignores both the legal definition of "identification" and the tactical reality of law enforcement. To suggest that wearing a vest clearly marked "POLICE" constitutes a failure to identify is logically inconsistent.

Now thats a fair discussion point.

Agree the definition of identification is complicated but as has been demonstrated - plenty of people impersonating ICE officers. So proper identification is critical to avoid people otherwise breaking the law.

Disagree its fundamentally flawed. The 10th amendment is pretty clear. If you're a Fed you are a Fed. Everything else goes to the states. And states have Police. Feds do not. And ICE in particular do not have the blanket powers of the FBI for example so knowing you are dealing with ICE defines your legal rights.

But this goes back to my original point. When they went into LA - they all wore ICE vests. Now they don't. Why? And I'm guessing your argument of 'well they don't have to' goes against the basic principles of law enforcement. Mistrust of law enforcement leads to bad outcomes.

Ok mate .let me know what im confused about.im happy to discuss
It.also let me know what im in denial about.please get to the point though .

Are you too stupid to look up the answers yourself, does your search engine not have a look up feature?

But then again, I'm glad you asked, let me fact check that for you

ICE agents are allowed to operate in Minneapolis—despite the city's status as a "sanctuary city"—because federal immigration law supersedes local ordinances. While Minneapolis has laws that limit local police cooperation with ICE, these local laws cannot legally block federal agents from carrying out their duties.
As of January 2026, the following factors explain why they are active in the city:

1. Federal Supremacy
The Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution establishes that federal law takes precedence over state and local laws. Because immigration is a federal matter, ICE agents have the legal authority to enforce these laws anywhere in the United States, including "sanctuary" jurisdictions like Minneapolis.
Correct it consider a Grey city where they can operate with Jurisdiction

Amazing how in America if you are a protestor you get shot in the head by the government.

But if you're in Iran, and you get shot in the head by the government, the US government will shoot you in the head.

Welcome to the new world.
