I think they have some concerns about his political views and the types of changes he wants to implement.
They fear he has communist intent ideas that goes against the American democratic identity.
Im not sure how true all that is or how much power he has to implement anything to severe but I have seen a few comments from republicans that gives an insight into their concerns.
Things like taxing white dominated wealthy neighbourhood more to fund programs to benefit lower economic areas. Playing the white privilege card.
That has clearly rubbed a few the wrong way.
And does start to boarder on communist style politics.
And then there are the Islamophobia aspect. And i believe this is their main concern.
There are a lot of people that fear Islamic take over of western countries.
A lot of western people living in western countries enjoy the way of life and dont want a situation where Muslim people gain political control and systematically over time chip away at the western policies and way of life. They fear the western world will become like the Islamic world.
So they are against any Muslim who gains any power.
I think that is the biggest concern.
Are they being ridiculous or do they have valid concerns?
Now thats a great question, given we dont have a crystal ball to see into the future we have no way of actually knowing.
I guess all you can do is look back at history and check out other countries that have become under Islamic rule.
What was it like before, whats it like now?
Is that how we want to live, or do we want to hold onto the way of life we currently have?
Those are the questions I think are worthy of discussion.
I personally have no issue if a Muslim person is elected into power.
As long as they are the right person for the job to make the right decisions for the people whilst maintaining our western way of life.
