Reports have come out that Netanyahu is planning to increase the assault on Gaza with more bombings and more military forces potentially levelling Gaza in the hopes that Hamas have nowhere to hide. This was after Ben-Gvir prayed at the Mosque in Jerusalem. An act that breaches agreements between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Meanwhile (and possibly in response to) around 600 former Israeli security officials have signed a joint statement asking Trump to pressure Netanyahu to end the war, saying that Hamas had been defeated and that the actions of the Israeli government is effectively just a campaign of genocide.

they should address that statement to netanyahu himself and if that doesn't work then resign in protest

As a continuation of this, the Texas Governor has now threatened to file 2nd degree bribery charges against all these Democrats if they don't return to vote. He claims that some of the Democrats paid other Democrats to flee the state.

What a nice guy. I'm sure all those settlers with automatics and the IDf have been terrified of kids throwing rocks. Now they'll feel better....

Kind of strange that right after Johnson arrived, Netanyahu announced that the IDF will be carrying out a full occupation of Gaza.
 
Seems like the Trump admin has gone into full "who's Epstein?" mode. In the latest distraction after Gabbard and Trump claimed that Obama should be arrested, AG Bondi has now ordered Grand Jury hearings into people involved in the Russia-Trump investigation.

No names listed yet, but it's expected to include Obama and pretty much anyone half of the Democratic party, plus FBI, CIA, and other officials.

As a reminder. One of the first executive orders Trump signed was that the DOJ couldn't be weaponised against political opponents.
 
On the Brazil thing. Trump has made a big fuss claiming that former President Bolsonaro has been the target of a witch hunt. Bolsonaro has had an ongoing court case due to him losing the election and he encouraging his supporters to invade government and overthrow the new President.

Now the courts have claimed that Bolsonaro has breached his restraining orders, so they have ordered him under house arrest.

The Trump admin has condemned the house arrest of Bolsonaro and said they will use sanctions (and likely more tariffs) in response.

Using tariffs and sanctions to influence the legal proceedings of another nation is a complete breach of international law. That's why the US usually gets the CIA to do it covertly. Trump doing this in the open is basically a call saying, "we control the world and we answer to no one"

Oh - its not just Brazil. Can you believe Switzerland and its 39% tariff? What did the Swiss do wrong?

During trade negotiations, apparently the Pres of the Swiss (or maybe its because her name is Karin?), apparently took a blase attitude and every time the US got heavy, she called em on it. So this is the payback. Or thats the public story.

The private story.

The swiss process more gold bullion than anyone. Haven't seen recent numbers but imports of gold into the US in Feb this year, ~80% came from Switzerland. So what happens if US people do not buy Swiss gold? They invest elsewhere, such as other countries gold, stocks or crypto.

But if imports dry up, then the gold price goes nuclear and becomes too risky. So that brings into play US stocks and crypto. Right up TPTs alley.

So whats the lesson here? We are increasing gold exports big time to the US. Can see it being on the radar eventually and we'll get 'tariffed'. And to get out of that? Well, sure you can appreciate what we may have to give up.
 
The laughs keep on coming. The Smithsonian Museum has a section on Presidents including an area which shows Presidents who have been impeached. Recently Trump's impeachments were removed from this record.

After heavy backlash the Smithsonian responded with, "we apologise. We don't know why we removed it. We swear it wasn't Trump forcing us to do it. We will re-instate it soon"
