But I know how we can fix this. How about we exchange movies so that we show everyone we get along. Putin said ok. This is apparently correct.

So I'm guessing the Yanks are sending over a Chuck Norris movie. And the Russians are sending over a romantic comedy about a fat orange dude swallowing piss from a bunch of Russian models....

They got away lightly. It was deliberate election interference, and the individual or individuals responsible should be charged. $16M is spare change to 60 Minutes, and they probably got $16M worth of publicity out of the court case.

Fox and other did the exact same thing with Trump (remember the famously edited Epstein one?)

This basically means that Harris can now sue Fox and others over those edited interviews. But she probably won't sue because she actually believes in free speech.

Only if Fox decides to settle.

I highly doubt Paramount would have settled the case if they weren't seeking approval from a government department headed by a Trump appointed stooge for an $8.4 billion merger.

Any self respecting judge would have laughed Trump's "case" out of court. Then again, he did file it with a small district court whose sole judge is a Trump appointee, so you never know.

Another day, another example of Trump strongarming the media in a bid to continue his ongoing erosion of the fourth estate. And shame on Paramount for capitulating to it, tbh.

Heavy wallets, light on values. It's this sort of bullshit that has Trump marching gleefully towards autocracy.
 
Some interesting parts of the recently passed Bill. Other than drastic tax reductions for the highest earners, they are applying the following tax increases:

- people earning under $15k per year will have a tax increase of 74.3%

- people earning between $15k and $30k will have a tax increase of 20.4%

This is in addition to them cutting health care and food stamps for many poor people, including removing health care for millions of children.

So people earning under $15k USD per year are basically giving that income to tax lmao?

I also believe all the crazys who have been hiding out with their guns are going to make a certain group of greedy, rich and interest based promised people feel their presence/wraith soon

  • corporate tax cut extended
  • no tax on tips (limit of 25K)
  • no taxes on social security benefits
  • 150 billion dollars for immigration enforcement - of that 46 billion dollars is allocated to the border wall
  • major increase in military spending
  • cuts to medicaid and food assistance

This is a historic victory for Trump, all of what he wanted is passed in the one big beautiful bill. On top of that he got it done by the deadline he set. He was fought almost every step of the way and got it done. "We're gonna win so big folks!" - Donald Trump

And he's pretty much guarenteed that Republicans will lose the next election. Nothing like passing a bill that pisses off 90% of America.

And because hacky put it in percentage points I have a feeling the amount is very small and he used the percentage to make it sound larger
