Anything for a shot across the bow, eh?
So now the club should control who writes what and when? Turn it up SFA :-).

OR - you’re suggesting it was the ‘manner’ in which the non-renewal of contract was communicated? Garry wasn’t in the 50 person bubble so couldn’t be told face-to-face under C-19 protocols. Hence the phone call from Price and Carden hung up on him! But that’s the clubs fault of course...

The rest of your post at least had some accuracies...
Once again you’re the self-appointed spokesperson for the triumvirate Anderson/Hill/Price. I really hope you’re on a commission for your role as their public defendant.

The fact remains all the media exposure we get is negative & critical. Our current leadership, in the way they conduct business & make decisions makes it easy.
It doesn’t matter how YOU spin it, for a loyal person of 35+ years of service to hear this decision via Chinese whispers days before a good phone call is really poor management & just a shit go.
Whether he should’ve been let go is irrelevant... it’s the way you do things that count-& more importantly that people remember!

Media beat up or not. Yeah is 66 and probably time to move on.

But the way the club is handling people is shit.
He give his life and love for this club and we cant even give them a decent thankyou and send off in front of the nation during one of our games to say thank you. Something.

Bunch of sad lives u blokes have to just discard someone cause his age is probably preventing him from being able to perform his role like he once could.
But lyn is the one to turn us into the storm....lol.
Dumb arse club full of faceless ***** by the sounds of it.
Steve price been here for 6 months and letting part of the furniture go like that.
Get some class, this is not good enough.

Thanks for the rainy Sunday chuckle SFA :-).
You’re ignoring/disregarding that the media have been writing negative stories about the Bulldogs for years - long before the current leadership were there and very likely after they’re gone too. The no leaks policy works and the media hate it, so they write whatever fiction they want anyway.

The club did nothing wrong with this, but no, you have to turn it into some nonsense just to shoot your poison darts.

Whatevs mate...

Familiar with C-19 protocols and 50 person bubble? Clearly not. Hence your rubbish post. Nothing to do with age, tenure, appropriate send-off or anything similar. Get the facts before your next rant bud :-).

Misinformed & poorly written article. Another blight on this current (lack of) leadership & administration to allow this article to be published. Another free kick at the Club.

For the record Gary Carden wasn’t directly involved in the current strength & conditioning staff. Most recently he was a trainer/conditioner to our U20s & juniors. An absolutely loyal Bulldogs Clubman. However everyone has their use by date......
Clearly Barrett is taking a street sweeper through the coaching hierarchy & given our most recent pathetic performance, it won’t be the last employee to be told his services are no longer required.
The way his termination was communicated to him by the leadership is the sore point.
Yes the negative agenda is being pushed. There seems to be a media push to de stabilise the club. There isnt enough positive articles, disappointed no one come out to against all the negative / split board crap to say we see non of that at training and so on.

So because, in the past the media has written negative stories the current administration can be apathetic & accept more of the same? Or, should the Club appoint a CEO with a big pair & an even bigger plan with a presence, real authority is an effective communicator to turn around the diatribe against everything Bulldogs.
How you trivialise the manner in which 35+ years of service to the Club was terminated as “nonsense” is astounding; evening allowing for your pitiful “COVID-19 protocol” excuse.....

I would have let him fold the jersey's or something until retirement BUT we've been unfit, lazy and shite for years now so it's not as if he appeared to be doing anything?

culture ?? whether the club did bad or wrong , he shat on the club publically via the media. Is that the culture you want him to show , shit on the club when you don’t get your way.
as for those players , Thurston , Mason , Williams ... they LEFT the club and played elsewhere , they have no right to talk about decisions the club make regarding loyalty .

you think they took that decision lightly , the andersons and price would have been apart of the club when Gary was around .
BEST POST ..

It would be good to hear from the club before we assume what Gary is saying is the whole truth.
And maybe things could have been done differently but the way the trainer is handling it is poor.
The club was as loyal to him just like he believes he was to the club but to speak ill of the club and having the backing of disloyal former players is not a good look on the the man.
He is too old to be acting like a sore loser.
He should have kept his true feelings to himself and come out and speak with class by being diplomatic.

Where has Gary Carden been publicly critical of the Club?

Ha ha, so protocols are an excuse? The same reason that two NRL coaches and two players have just been given a 14 day holiday? The only nonsense is your effort to smear the club over nothing. But that’s you. Back to your half empty glass SFA :-).
