Obviously Pay has issues with Nu Brown and is not likely to give him a starting spot so why not give Woolford a start. He has played a couple a solid games, played the full 80min yesterday and directed the play really well, had good vision and defended well which had been an issue of his. An actual specialist hooker who can actually pass, he was supposedly the fittest in preseason and has bulked up.

Still needs a bit more time ... next year probably.
Yeah he probably does but just with our situation we don’t have much to lose. He is off contract at the end of the year and it would be good to see if he has something. There was talk in yesterday’s game that there might be interest from England, probably from the team his dad is coaching.

I don't think he's Top 30 at the moment anyway, so chances are we cannot play him.

Someone posted the top 30 I think it was last month and woolford was there. I've said it before, might as well give him a shot. He can't possibly be worse than liccha

Give him a go, I watched him play NSW cup 3 or 4 times last year and he does throw a good ball off the ground. But more importantly he showed a bit of passion and mongrel. Just like his dad he is a natural dummy half and can play...…...

His dads turned Huddersfield around to, seems to know his stuff. Would like to see him given a go before the seasons out, sadly for us though the only game we play a team that's not in finals contention before the year is out is Manly in round 22. Perhaps the NRL will let us play whoever we want that round

The worst that can happen if we blood him is he kills it and his price tag rises. The worst that could happen if we don't is that another club might see his potential and helps him to fulfill it in the NRL. I'd promote him this year if he's in the top 30. Games now are nothing more than a chance to begin developing and seasoning the players we think will feature next year. If Woolford is in form right now it's worth handing him his debut and seeing if his skills help the team.

I've been wanting to see him get a run in first grade all season. It's not like we have stellar options ahead of him keeping him out of the team and we can't do much worse.

Pay better drop Lichaa. These last six weeks need to be used to blood more youngsters no matter how ugly the results might be.

That includes Ogden for Priest and any other youngsters that are eligible with these stupid top 30 restrictions who's form in the lower grades warrants a call up.
