Fonua on fire, good on him for bringing up human rights abuse.
JT is too good to be past it, he will go past 35 like Smith.

JT is definitely cooked. The amount of times I just saw him pass instead of making a play on the 5th was really odd. Played one too many years by the looks of it.

Past it for sure. His body clearly can't keep up with his brain. Brandy was right, I think it's just plain stubbornness on his part as to why he hasn't hung the boots up yet.

Honestly if I was the cowgirls I would force Thurston to pretend a shoulder injury and sit him out for the year. He is well past his best.

Well past his best. IMO his career has gone 1 season too long. He should've retired last year.

He should have retired last year.

Perfect example of going one year too long.

I reckon shoulder injury is holding him back... he'll be back in time for the finals... if they make it that is..

He's a liability to his team nowadays - it's sad to say.

If JT is done then i hate to think what Foran is lol. He's not as his best but he's still one of the top halves in the game.

I know the Cows have a gun half in the wings but maybe we can trick them into taking Mbye’s contract from next year if Thurston retires

Should retire now, waaay over the hill. He did nothing last night except and ankle tap to the wing.

In saying that though he is not doing himself or the Cowboys any favours. He looks jaded and no longer has an impact; his kicking is poor and about all he does with any urgency or passion is argue with the referee or ask him to send an opposition player to the bin....
the refereeing is a definite turn off for a lot of fans and I imagine it would be worse for a player.

Age is the downfall of all great men. Physically speaking.
I think he knows age has caught upto him but like all us men we never want to admit it. But eventually he’ll accept it. But still better than majority going around atm and at least he doesn’t groom his long hair like woods.
You're wrong age has nothing to do with it

It's more mental than physical. Unless he's been abusing or neglecting his body or something new has happened you don't go from superstar to mediocre. 35 isn't old in his role
35 isn’t old in his role? 35 is old in any role on the rugby league field and age affects people differently and earlier or later. It’s also both a mental thing along with a physical thing. He no longer can do what he used to do so that then fucks him up mentally and potentially worsens his performances.
