It's an Aussie thing. We don't have cheese on our kebabs.
Might seem weird but I have my kebabs with nothing but tomoto, lettuce, pickled red cabbage and the meat. Nothing better than tasting the pure flavours of the meat without drowning it in some artificial sauce... Would advise all to try it ;)

I only have garlic and chilli sauce, never tomato or BBQ sauce.

So does anyone have any info and photos of the lunch which took place earlier on today with Gus and Sheensie?

Did Gus persuade Sheens to join the Twitter family?

Dave Holland, did you follow Gus to the toilet and ask him when Fittler is coming along with Slater as his assistant?

Issac, what was on the menu?

Did they have lunch at one of Laundy's pub's, "on the house"?
Nah think they went more upper class...

It was called Kingston Corner at South Hurstville.
Corner of Connels Point Rd and King Georges Rd.
Back in 2003 to 2006 I don't own it anymore.
I'm in Brisbane now running a Kebab store
You had good kebabs mate

Use to frequent your joint on a Friday night after getting on the turps at Kings Head Tavern

We used to frequent El Jannahs and Awafi in Granville over a decade ago....It has turned to shit now from what I have seen

Was actually in Smithfield the other day and seen a El Jannahs drive thru, and it was packed

Sheens doesn't strike me as a El Jannah man, more like a Chilli Jam man

What here we go

It's a legit question and I want it truthfully fucken answered
Greeks, lebs, Turks, assyrians, Persians, they all claim it as their own.

Just enjoy the food, even though Adana is the best and that's definitely turkish

Anybody who gets "the lot" with a kebab just doesnt know how to eat...
Chicken, tabouli, tomato, onion, sour cream / sweet chilli is all I need.

Whereabouts in Brisbane? I assume Southside? As I'm yet to find one on the northside that matches my old Sydney local - Metro 1 in Ashfield.

I do know for a fact that the greeks claim Baklava, Yeeros (deconstucted kebab) amongst other foods, which is all originally Turkish

Lebs have nice lady fingers with curd, Kibbeh (i think thats the spelling), Tabouli

Persians have nice steamed rice

Tunisians have brilliant shakshuka

But i want to know where the original kebab originates from
