Used to love making a day of it out at the footy watching all three grades and seeing the up and coming talent. Also was the perfect build up for the main event (first grade).
3 games for your admission price and a day out for the family. Loved it.
Yes please, bring it back Vlandys.

You knew it was first grade because the hits were totally different.
I believe to win a comp you needed two top teams.
NSW Cup should get more TV exposure.

Can only hope so. Was always funny watching the under games, you’d want the boys to win but were never really nervous or cared to much about the result. Then first grade came out and it was edge of ya seat for 80mins.

Is it the same format as it used to be or is it Newtown etc etc?
same format , we have mounties as our reserve grade and newtown is sharks, so they play before the first grade, be sensational to see our young blokes play like shouppe, topane etc before first grade.

Didn't they can this idea years ago because the grounds couldn't take the traffic?

Sometimes the lower grade games were more entertaining than FG.

Scrambling thru pages in the program to see who No.24 was only to find out from some know all in the crowd that there was a mix up with the jerseys and that guy wasn't playing today anyway ;)

This is going around a while, but i used to always go early to watch the likes of Matt Utai and Thurston carve up. Utai was scoring almost every game back then, and Thurston was killing it. That was the glory days when we were so strong with "juniors" so to say. Would be good to see it again. And more so the reserves then the u20s. Could never really watch that with too much interest because very few were first grade ready.
