Chandler is the most exciting fighter in the UFC but he fights with below average fight IQ & defense.

I think Izzy took a rest in the 4th and it allowed Alex to get a bit of gas in the tank. After that dominant 3rd round Izzy should have turned it on. Great fight and great hands by Alex to comeback

Reading online and just got home - fair stoppage? Also seems that Alex's corner were telling him if u get taken down again, you're not winning. Just seems odd that you're ahead, you clinch it up and get into a wrestle with a supposed non-wrestler for the last round and walk away with points. Izzy's ego got to him?

100% his ego bro. I think this is the loss he needed. Everyone loves Izzy, but he was way too cocky and not in a good way.

Yeah more than fair stoppage watching it live. It look like Izzy was going to drop at one stage but he kept his feet and took more shots while not defending.
The lazy 4th round for Izzy while he had all the momentum and a tired Alex cost him the fight IMO. Alex looked pretty fresh in the 5th so Izzy couldn't just get on the inside and clinch without risking a big KO.

Personally think he was clinching bro because of Poatans power. Usually Izzy is happy to stand and trade with anyone but not today.

Izzy post fight interview reckn'd that Alex damaged his perineal nerve and that affected his footwork in the 5th.

So - thinking that makes sense except for 1 thing. That nerve controls your scrotum.

Glad I missed the fight coz it sounds like Alex anally raped him.

Yeah. Hadn't seen much of him. Believe he took that on short notice too. That was some filthy ground work - haven't seen someone locked up like that since Khabib. And the commentators were talking his stand up, then he pulls that reversal and later on the leg locks. Mad.

What did u think of Bam? He didn't really wear anything clean and sort of fell over and then just got flogged. Gane gave him more cleans shots than that.

That dude must have some serious meat in those hands.
