Think he’s done that sort of pass 3 maybe 4 times this year. Also the time he had his back to the ruck and the opposition dived on it last year.

Not a bad player. True competitor and true bulldog. Just seems to lose concentration in games, probably under fatigue, and does something silly. But no one can question his passion. Was the first one to stand up for his team mates when cirro arrived after we were getting disrespected for year.

And like you said his service is generally elite.

Only issue with Mahoney is he's Brain Snaps. Very talented player. I personally hope he puts pride to the side and owns his problem. It'll be a shame to lose him...

100% agree, his service is incredible and his choice of passes close to the line has seen our props score plenty of tries

The grass isn’t always greener aye Steve? Heyward can do a job as a bit player at 6, 9, 13 and 7 at a stretch, but as a starter? I’m not so sure. Reed gets down in the grime and grinds for 80 minutes usually. I fear we’d regret letting him go this season and maybe next too.

As usual though I am sure Gus and Ciro will keep their options open in case he drops off too much or someone much better comes available.

yes he has his brain snaps, take out his 50 odd tackles we get smashed through the middle because of our smaller pack. Gus said he wants to keep him but have a look what is out there

one thing is for sure, its been at least 10 years since we've had this type of competition for spots. Plenty of nrl quality players in every position can only mean good things I think. The best players and most deserving will rise to the top

The club is probably still dirty for Reed costing us the Manly semi last year
 
I think he will be gone before June 30, he requested permission so must have something lined up

All that has happened is Ayoub has asked Gus if he can start enquiring for 2027 earlier than Nov 1 and Gus agreed to it.

Anything else is just scummy media bullshit dribbled for clicks.
 
I think by the time the two new teams come in, players like Mahoney, Curran, Mann, Hughes, Sitili, Salmon, Tracey etc and a few others could be moved on/let go and targets for the new teams to get experienced, competitive players from a winning club to help build their culture.

By then our new signings and young pups will be ready to take their place and our cap will need to be carefully managed. I see those players as the most expendable out of the top 20 or so in the squad.
