yes Alan , gout is a similar response from the body and can be painful. Do you find your gout is triggered by something you eat?

To be honest I don't think I've had a case in about a year. I lost a decent amount of weight and it seems to have stopped. But before that it was probably only 3-4 times a year. And I think it was orange juice that triggered it. I had a period where I was drinking about 9 litres a week.

But I have tried to avoid eating the acidic foods that are meant to trigger it a bit.

Blood test today. Did an X-ray on Monday. Poop pathology a couple of weeks ago. All the results in about 12 days. The saga continues...

...but still alive. :mask:

Bulldog Wrestler Bulldog Wrestler, I've been busy for a few months and have only logged in sporadically.

How did this go mate? Are you doing okay?

I got all the results about 3 weeks ago. The Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Leukemia remain in remission.

My low Iron is OK, just. But I remain on Iron supplements - Ferrograd C.

The low Iron and the medication to keep the Leukemia in check (Sprycel), cause me considerable fatigue. By about 2pm, I'm generally cactus, but stage a recovery after dinner.

Anyway, the poop test has revealed signs of blood, suspected to be from internal bleeding - the likely cause of the low Iron.

So, the Haematologist is referring me back to a Gastroenterologist at Liverpool Hospital that I've previously seen. They think the next step will be to swallow a pill size camera that will film its journey through my system, to try and identify the origin of the bleeding.

So, I have been waiting 3 weeks to hear from the hospital about that appointment. Still waiting...

Regardless, I'm back to the Haematologist on December 24, for the next consultation monitoring the two cancers.

Thanks for checking up on me. It's greatly appreciated. I'm largely OK, but the saga still gets me down from time to time.

Thanks brother, I really appreciate it. I try to keep a few people entertained, while trying to keep my mind off my issues.

You are amazing with all the procedures you have to do. And amazing with spelling all the big names.

All the best with all the other tests you have to do.

Can you ring the hospital & ask about the appointment. (the people who answer the phones of the section you need, can access your files & see if anything has been done.)

It's a sad that some people have forgotten you were part of the clown crew.
The cuck reminds us daily
