Don't worry I'll be my usual cheeky bastard self when I'm in the wards, in ED I have to try behave lol
Man, we should parade you in front of the team to show what heart, commitment and true determination looks like.
Inspire the fuckers :p
Yet if we do, you've got to promise not to go and prematurely check out...
Turn a challenging situation, into a positive, and hopefully a team signed jersey for you :P

Thanks bro, I have faith I'll get through this again.

Only thing is that they usually separate the treatments (the IV steroids and plasma replacement and chemo) but this time they are going to smash me with both at the same time.

Fuck it, just another speed hump.

You will mate!

Yeah right? hoping all goes smoothly bro.

Guys I have had a terrible tragedy in my life.
My best mate my cousin was killed last night.

I was with him at a bar where he was working his first shift. We were talking about opening a bar together and so he was trialling it. And we hung out after his shift and had a couple of beers.

Then we both left early as we had to work Monday morning. Said goodbye we said we loved each other- as we always do.
But He never made it home.
Died 500 metres from home.

He left 4 kids from 3-10 years of age.

Don't be afraid to reach out is the only advice I can afford, even if it's Lifeline or similar.

And if that doesn't inspire them, my excessive use of profanity will lol

FMD Duke, I am so sorry for your loss my brother. I won't even pretend to fully understand what you're going through but I'll just say the kennel and I are here for you if you want to chat, vent or just fkn swear your head off.

Easier said than done but stay strong my bro.

According to stats most major accidents and fatalities happen with 5km of where the victim lives.

Friends of our family lost their son and his fiancee over a month ago around Sylvania when he lost control of his motorcycle.

Him and his girl died instantly in front of a man waiting for a bus!

@the duke I'm sorry this has happened.
I can only imagine what your family, friends and yourself are going through right now?

I have experienced only losing my favourite people young and out of no where.

Anytime you need me bro I'm only a PM away, trust me I'm back inside hospital for a month so you won't be bothering me at all.

Shit mate, that is beyond terrible, hope you are getting the support you need.

Nothing more devastating than losing someone you’re close to suddenly...

Thoughts are with you and your families mate...

Thanks guys. Hanging with his kids now.
I feel like I am now a dad to 6 instead of 2.
But
I am good with that. I am strong and will be a good role model for them.

Thanks for your messages. It is heartening reading them.

You now have a greater chance at influencing potential new dogs supporters ;)

Ha ha.
That’s funny. He would kill me.
They live in the shire and he was a f- ing dragons fan.
I am no chance.

That was literally the only thing we didn’t share- and it used to annoy me.
Lol.

Went over and played soccer with all the kids on the front lawn this arvo. It was really fun.

I kept looking up the road, kind of like how a dog waits for its owner. Waiting for his car to come down the street. But it never came.

Weird feeling but this is the human condition and this is my journey.

As a male role model, it's your obligation to try.

Seriously, glad I could give you a positive lighthearted moment :grinning:
