Another Christmas, another Salah Christmas' post followed by a meltdown :tearsofjoy:

I have to ask, but why are so many Muslims so insecure about their religion?
I'd say it can't be limited to just Muslims in all honesty, but the meltdown over his Christmas post is pathetic

Celebrating Christmas is a sin for Muslims but Salah doing it has literally zero effect on me and my family so I couldn’t care less if he celebrates it or not. What he does with his family is no one else’s business.

Wearing red pyjamas or even acknowledging the holiday to religious people (ie to Christians) is hardly celebrating Christmas. Acknowledging and wishing my muslims neighbours and friends a happy Eid, doesn't mean i am practising or promoting islam. Its just a sign of respect and willingness to live in harmony with others.

To many its just a public holiday where Santa gives the children pressies, you hang with family etc etc. Its just as much a commercialised holiday as it is a religious one.

It only holds religious meaning if you want it to.

I'm an atheist. Parents hardline Catholics. Sister and her husband are muslims (Sunni). We were all together on Christmas, we all exchanged gifts (for the children). The morning or day after Eid (as they are with sister' husband's family at night), we do the same, we all get together, exchange gifts for the children. If showing respect for and willingness to accept and live with others is a sin which is going to lead you to "hell". F**k me silly.

I love Christmas. My family always has. Huge day. Lots of pressies. Traditional meal. Family orientated.

We're athiest. Wearing santa hats or whatever has no connection at all to a religion at all to us.

In the UK Christmas is very much a family orientated event. It's a part of culture there which is why I find it baffling that people are trying to make out that Salah did somethign wrong. He's integrating his children into the culture of where he's living. It's what society expects of him, but when he does it then other people want to have a go.

Madness if you ask me.

Christmas is hardly Christmas though is it. He's basically just celebrating a day off and some tacky decorations with matching PJs lol.

Watch the game get postponed so that they'll be missing for the game.
Its just bizarre isn't it?

AFCON goes ahead, but the EPL is cancelling a heap of games because of covid. Our boys are going to get quarantined over there, aren't they? So they'll be missing for more than a few games I can tell you right now

Yeah I how, just making it up as they go. Whatever happens I'm sure City will be the big beneficiaries.

If we're living with the virus like they were supposed to have been, then games will just have to be played with less players available. The pile up at the end will be ridiculous and there's no way they'll be prepared to wipe out any games with broadcast revenue.

We’ve already been shafted by the PL which has cost us 2 points at Spurs. That game should have been postponed, we had 4 players out due to covid.
We have Leicester and Chelsea away coming up, 2 hard games that can make or break our title chances . Then when we are done with those matches we lose Salah and Mane for that insignificant African competition whereby players will either come back with covid, injured or mentally fatigued.
