RIP Diogo Jota 1996-2025

Was in my garage sorting through some of my homegrown when I heard the news report. I initially didn't think much of it as I couldn't hear it properly then came out and saw confirmation of the tragedy and my mouth dropped.

Rip jota and Silva. Condolences to families and friends of both :upset:

Each club should wear a patch with the number 20 somewhere on their jerseys for the whole season to honour Jota and his brother.

In my local comp team we tragically lost a teammate this season. He was only 31 and in great shape. He played the night before with our team and the next day he was in a coma from fainting while swimming as unfortunately no one found him til too long after. A week later he passed away. Its still hard to come to terms with 6 months later. Thoughts go out to Jota's family and the Liverpool club.

the other clubs won't do that for the whole season, would say opening round of the season they most likely would as well as wearing black armbands

They probably won't, but they should. Something like this affects the whole football community and it would be a great gesture and way to honour Jota

Just play Rio or something if required. Idk our transfer plans have obviously changed with what's happened.
 
looks like konate is going to do a trent and leave on a free transfer and join madrid
