A bit harsh. The walls are not caving in, but yes, we have kissed away a chance at the EPL

Forget it boys, the jew frog strikes again.....

Arsenal are not expecting to sign a striker on deadline day, with a defender the priority for Arsene Wenger.

Supporters have been calling for the club to sign a forward after Olivier Giroud was ruled out until the New Year with a fractured tibia.

But it seems unlikely they will bring in a frontman, with Arsene Wenger putting his faith in Yaya Sanogo, Alexis Sanchez, Joel Campbell and the returning Theo Walcott.

There were reports Arsenal had made a late bid for Falcao but club sources insist that was not the case due to the high prices involved in a potential deal.

And instead they are focussed on finding cover in defence and defensive midfield.

The club has just six front-line defenders in their squad, and are keen to bring in reinforcements there rather than up front.

Ignasi Miquel is expected to join Norwich and one or two youngsters will leave on loan over the next week or so – although Chuba Akpom, who scored a hat-trick for Arsenal's Under-21 side last week, has been told by Wenger that he will stay at the club.

Arsenal’s frustrating 1-1 draw with Leicester underlined the Gunners need for additional firepower, and plenty of Gooners are praying that boss Arsene Wenger agrees.

Throughout the summer the Frenchman seemed set in his belief that the north Londoners were catered for in the striking department, but with Olivier Giroud sidelined for the next few months with a broken ankle and Yaya Sanogo still a raw talent, it Wenger could probably do with a deadline day dash for another hitman.

But with Loic Remy opting to join Chelsea and Manchester United shocking the football world by landing Radamel Falcao on loan, who can Arsenal bring in?

Wilfried Bony – £24m fee quoted
The Ivorian striker has made it known that he wants to move to a bigger club, and he would surely jump at the chance to join Arsenal. Despite Wenger reportedly travelling to Rome to referee a charity match, the club have assured fans that they are still capable of making signings, and it’s just as well, with bookies naming the Gunners as favourites to land Bony.

However, as reported by the Express, it will take a sizable sum to force Swansea’s hand, with the publication reporting that the Swans have slapped a £24m price tag on their number one striker, although that stance could soften the closer Monday’s 11pm deadline gets.

Carlos Bacca – £12.5m bid ready?
With Falcao off to Old Trafford, it looks as though another Colombian could be on the way to England, but is Sevilla’s Carlos Bacca the man for Arsenal? According to the Metro he could well be, with the publication reporting that the Gunners have been told that £12.5m will be enough to land the 27-year-old. Bacca currently has a release clause of £27.6m, but the Spanish club are thought to be prepared to allow him to leave should Arsenal offer the lower fee.

No point waiting.

Just sleep on it. You'll be waking up to the tune of Arsenal signing Defoe and Vlaar in last-minute deals...

We can kiss those trophies goodbye and wait another 10 years for a tiny speck of success.

According to Sky Sports News, Danny Welbeck is having a medical at Arsenal

Unsure yet if this is a loan or permanent deal but Arsenal have well and truly hijacked Tottenham's bid for Welbeck

After all that, Arsenal have come out and denied Welbeck underwent a medical so it seems you won't be getting anybody at all..

Honestly don't know what's going on regarding Arsenal, one minute a player is having a medical the next the club denies it ever took place

I'd rather Welbeck very Balotelli. His a good young player who keeps his head out of the papers.

Take care of Welbeck, a lot of people seem to write him off but he's only 23 years of age and take into consideration he was never played regularly as a striker with all the attacking options Manchester United have

Not to mention his terrific work rates, he can run up and down the pitch all day long

Play him centrally up front and with the quality midfielders you guys have, he will score goals

Transfer window closed 35mins ago

Clubs can apply for an extension to finalise their deals, which Arsenal have done and will be given additional time to complete the signing of Danny Welbeck or any other players they might have been working on

Could of been worse. Jury is still out on Wellbeck, and RVP was written off at the same age and has come good and being shown faith by Wenger.

How many Danny Welbeck's are you lads signing? (don't worry, it's fake)

No wonder you guys got a 2hr extension
