A couple of weeks ago, one of these Karmichaels was standing on the roof of the back verandah, destroying the flyscreens on the windows of the top story of the house - presumably for nesting material. I had to rip the screens off to stop the pecking at the windows. A few days ago, it was working on dismantling the door mat at the front of the house. It seems my home is the magpie equivalent of Bunnings.

What are the chances, a couple of weeks ago I had one who looked juvenile pecking at a fly screen and I’ve noticed the whole getting big and bigger.

Never seen it or had it happen before.
