Coming home to watch this race took the edge off my disappointment. Piastri is looking like becoming the better driver out of our recent F1 drivers such as Webber and Ricciardo. If he makes the right decisions about what car and when (hopefully Webber can help him there) he should end up with at least one world championship. He has got the calmness, attention to every detail and simply how to make himself better with every race. While other drivers are blaming the team, car, or other drivers, he simply gets down to the business of improving. The fact that he is still doing that is scarey. He is only in his second season of F1 and is already racing like a veteran.
Those in the know, highly rate him already.
They're talking him up massively, as the unacknowledged threat within the field.

Ricky Bobby AKA Danny Ric sacked by RB with Liam Lawson replacing him for rest of the season.

Feel for him but he ultimately made his own bed and hasn't performed up to the top teams standard for a while now.

It would be neat to see him in the V8 Supercars for a series just for the LOLs

Pretty ordinary of RB not to announce this before Singapore so it was 100% confirmed to be his last race. The decision to replace him is fair enough though, as you stated, he just hasn't been up to standard for some time now. If he doesn't end up in the US with indycar, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a wildcard entry for the Bathurst 1000 next year, sponsors would be falling over themselves to get onboard for that.

Piastri would be well advised to steer clear of RBR at all costs after how they've handled their last two Aussies.

Its all Marko... but in any case RBR will not be the powerful team they have been for the last 15 years.

oh yeah lol hamilton 8th on the grid outqualified by leclerc despite leclerc abandoning his last lap, cant wait to hear about all the excuses and theories from hamilton fans who can no longer blame mercedes sabotage

1) he is getting old
2) ferrari is sabotaging him for some unknown reason, they might be racist
3) he needs time to learn how to drive the ferrari
4) he is having unknown personal problems

LMAO sky sports "hamilton is still learning"

the 40 year old donkey paper world champion doesnt have a dominant team that treat him like their cult leader anymore, thats what sky sports should report but hamilton must be protected

Is this the only sport in the world where you have to wait for misfortune for it to become interesting?

lol hamilton already having problems with ferrari, he is the most unprofessional driver, even talking about having to learn ferrari wet weather settings on the fly in the car now

why would he not take time to learn this beforehand? what was he doing? preparing his met gala suit or going to the oscars?

he snapped when his engineer is telling him what to do, i think this is his diva attitude in general and why he hasnt learnt the buttons yet

this is not going to end well at all, ferrari dont take any bullshit from star drivers, they sack them immediately

yep and then when oscar screwed up and fell a few seconds behind, they told him he could race again, what a joke. See what happens now after this safety car

this still could work out even if mclaren is trying to control a win for lando, the rest of the field will put strategy pressure on and they could misstep on the tyres with lando first, but obvsiouly piastri put pressure on him now
