Flogging the Poms 5-0 again would be great, but I would definitely prefer a closer fought series.

Will never forget the 2005 Ashes series in England, some of the best cricket I have ever watched.

The poms lost really lost it when Ben Stokes got banned, they were up against it already and he is one of the top players and pretty fiery too - perfect for Ashes. Without him they really stood no chance.

Look at their team:

Alistair Cook - a shadow of the player he once was, looks scared out there and doesnt appear to care anymore
Broad + Anderson - getting long on the tooth and Aus pitches dont suit their bowling style.
Bairstow and Root are the only fair dinkum players they have, the rest are no names which need a lot more games under their belt before they play in Ashes.

This is one of the worst England touring sides in recent memory, miss players like Flintoff, Peterson etc. who could turn a game pretty quickly.

However ~
Was at the first day of the 'Gabba Test, spent eight hours trying to get tickets, SOLD OUT. Bought 4 tickets @ 4x face value on eBay. Next day Cricket Australia releases statement "canceling all eBay ticket sales/tickets". Run the risk of not disclosing to the Mother and our friends that we have eBay tickets. Travel to Brisbane from GC.
GET IT!!!!!!!
Epic! And continued the domination all summer.

IIRC, most days of most Tests were sell-outs?

Hopefully the waca curator doesn't dish up a pitch like that one against NZ when they toured back in 15, pitch was this boring flat track thing and the game was a draw. Warner scored a 250 and taylor from nz scored a 290, there was like 6 centuries in the match and australia declared twice

This is looking like another waca borefest game unfortunately, we did well to grab 4 wickets but this pitch is only going to get better to bat on. Such a shame what has happened to this once great wicket.

Just generic batsman wickets these days! Sad to see

Another dud wicket at the WACA, a draw unless Aus suffer a massive collapse.

Last 6 falls for about 55 runs.

Once again England show no ticker.

Best batting pitch in the country and our top order still find a way to fail.

Pretty even stevens at close of play, maybe slightly in our favour simply because smith is still at the crease

Unless we collapse this innings, she's a draw! Cloudy 2 Moro in Perth could help the poms, but high chance of rain Sunday! If we lose significant overs Sunday, that's a stale mate!

even though this seems a very decent pitch to bat on, both these teams are prone to a good ol' batting collapse or two, a result is certainly not out of the question.

Australia's batting always worries me, way too dependent on Warner or Smith making a majority of the runs.

There's still 3 days to go - plenty of time for a result (weather permitting)
