What can they give up though? They won't/can't give up Booker..

Ayton in a sign and trade with Cam Johnson, Bridges and picks isn't enough probably.
That’s what I thought plus the nba salary cap has restrictions for getting full value for ayton sign and trade..but where there’s smoke..might be 3 clubs involved

I think KD would want to play there and obviously the Suns and every other NBA team want him. I just don't see it happening at all when Ayton is the centrepiece of the deal. They'd be mad to do that (and won't) when KD is under contract for 4 more years..

So the Nets have all of the power to get one of the biggest hauls ever back for him.

Is the Sun's package better than AD, Russ, future picks for KD and Kyrie?

They should give up Booker for KD.

Being a Phoenix supporter is a fkn rollercoaster, after such a great season, seeing us lose out in game 7 in the fashion we did was heartbreaking, but with the possibility of signing KD….

No one can offer a better deal than Ayton, Bridges and picks. Ayton is arguably the best young big man in the game and Bridges one of the best young wings who just finished 2nd in DPOY.

Yeah sure there’s team that have more picks but it won’t make sense for Brooklyn as they don’t have any of their own picks and so they’ll want to still be a competitive side next season.

Miami will go after him hard, but they don’t have the assets. Maybe Nuggets offer MPJ and Murray but they’re a cheap franchise and so I doubt that.

No way. Booker is the heart and soul of our team. We can’t bank our whole future on CP3 and KD at their respective ages.

That deal isn’t possible anyway because there’s some rule that limits teams trading for multiple players who are both on their second contracts. And because they already acquired Simmons, they can’t trade for Book.

Ayton isn't close to the best young big. He's a solid player who can get you a hollow 22 and 10 and doesn't dominate at either end of the floor the way he should. You can get similar production for much cheaper from other bigs.

That Nuggets offer of Murray and MPJ sounds more likely for both sides.

His an elite finisher around the rim and has shown that if given the opportunity he can shoot it from deep too. His ability to switch onto perimeter players on defence is a valuable tool to have as well. He has proven he can be dominant in the playoffs as well.

Big risk for Brooklyn though giving up KD for a very injury prone MPJ with a dodgy back and Murray coming off a season long injury.

He can shoot mid rangers okay. Even then he's streaky. He can't shoot 3s. You'd leave him open all day.. He needs an elite PG to get him good looks.

The Suns looked as good if not better at times when McGee, Kaminsky or Biyombo were playing. Ayton is better than all 3 and I think will be much better when he gets a bigger role. But I think he's limited in what he can do and is a defensive liability at times which is why he gets benched so often in big games.

True. Both both are All-Star level players when healthy that are young and hold a lot of value around the league. Murray has had multiple 40 and 50 point games in the playoffs. They could flip one or both and won't get a better offer from other teams.

KD himself is injury prone. Tore his Achilles and keeps sitting out 4-6 weeks with sprained MCL's or soreness every season.

Ayton's value around the league isn't that high which is why no team is giving him close to the max and the Suns are willing to let him walk.

No way. KD is turning 34 soon. Booker is turning 26. They're not winning with just CP3 and KD and the rest of the team from the last few years.
???
They were the number 1 seed with Booker and the same pieces around him.

You replace Booker with KD and you don't think they get better?

HOLY HEKKA

If they want a title, they should do it. They're not doing to win with Booker and CP3. That window has closed.

They were the #1 seed but lost in the 2nd round. CP3 breaks down by the end of every season. CP3 and KD isn't enough to win a title. KD would have no 2nd scorer next to him that defences have to worry about. In the playoffs they'd just double KD and let everyone else beat them.

Supposedly the Heat are after Donovan Mitchell. If they could get him for Herro and a pick plus some bench players, they'd be even more dangerous..

So far happy with what the knicks have done. Signed Isaiah Hartenstein cheaply, he will be a huge fit with us exactly what we needed to replace Gibson and Noel. Got our future pg for the next 4 years. Randle also reportedly on the trade market so i expect a bit more moves within our roster hopefully.

Team that might make a bit of noise in the east is the Wizards. If they keep Kuzma then a 3 of KP, Beal and Kuz will cause some trouble. Plus having Barton, Morris, Kispert as good shooters will make them major threats from deep all year.
