Reynolds isn’t even at the club and has been denied plenty of times what’s the point in putting him in your team?

This would be my team.

1: Averilo (why not)
2: DWZ (his best position)
3: Harper (needs time)
4: Hoppa (needs to go)
5: Smith (needs to go)
6: Foran (needs to go)
7: Wakeham (needs time)
8: Ogden (needs time as a starter)
9: Katoa (find someone else long term)
10: To’omoga (needs time as a starter)
11: Mariner (last chance)
12: Sue (needs to go)
13: Britt (needs time)

Bench: Blood some juniors in the squad to see if it’s worth keeping beyond this year and worth giving opportunities to the younger guys because we won’t be playing finals this year anyways. So use this season to see if it’s worth keeping some of them long term. I 100% assure you the above team does better than last night.

Yes I’ve left Jackson out. I honestly don’t know what he offers us anymore and don’t understand why we gave him a contract extension before we committed long term to a coach because it looks more likely that Pay won’t be with us next year.

They need to blood Doorey or go buy a 2nd rower we are so skinny on depth there. Britt can't play there again after last night.

As far as the backs are concerned

1. Hoppa / Meaney
2. Dwz
3. Averillo
4. Harper
5. Smith
6. Wakeham
7. Foran

Dwz and Smith don't have the ball in hand skills to be playing inside anyone. Playing further inside the backline stifles any attack.

Hoppa ain't fast anymore but is relatively safe under the high ball, relatively safe in defence and has a good set of hands on him. He edges out meaney based on defence and experience.

Foran and Wakeham with their style of play need blokes running lines and hitting gaps at speed. Exactly what Averillo and Harper can do.

And if tigers were happy to chip in a fair bit of Reynolds freight then for 18 months bring him back. He would have impact off the bench in the hooker role and cover in the halves.

Fmd. Should have handed Lewis over to the storm in replacement for addo Carr!

1. Hopoate (best we have under a bomb)
2. Meaney
3. DWZ
4. Harper
5. Smith
6. Foran.
7. Cogger
8. Napa needs to lift and lead the pack
9. Katoa
10. To'omaga
11. Elliott
12. Jackson
13. Tolman (don't pass the ball to him)

14.Averillo
15. Ogden
16. Sue
17. RFM or C.Smith

Fullback is a difficult one as it is now probably the most skilled position on the field. We have no perfect option but Hoppa at the back is much safer in the key area of taking bombs and thus not giving up repeat sets.

I have never been a fan of playing good wingers in the centre for defensive reasons. Centre is the key defensive backline position in that you have to take the right man and not get sucked in by decoys. Other than jmoz and Timana Tahu not many have been a success in both positions.

Having said all this what i want to see is every player improving their game under Pay which hasn't happened yet. By mid season if we are still playing like headless chooks then it is time to blood some young players and look for a new coach. Best available would be Griffin.

This is subjective. I personally think we should be placing players in their best positions long term but that depends where we're recruiting for 2021 and 2022 (which we don't have information to). For e.g. if we were going to sign a top fullback, half and hooker to go with Thompson I'd much rather us stick with something* like this (below) for the remainder of the season. That way we have the players in the right positions for 2021 which is our target year to perform. That might not mean players in their best position for us this year.

1. Meaney - replaced with a top fullback for next year.
2. DWZ - not a fullback and doesn't look like he'll ever be.
3. Averillo - if we signed a top fullback, half and hooker we wouldn't be able to recruit a top centre, blood the kid in centre and see if he can make a fist of it.
4. Hopoate - probably our best fullback option but should be playing centre next year.
5. Reimis - not a centre and doesn't look like he'll ever be.
6. Foran - replaced with a top half for next year (if we're unable to sign a top half, i'd re-sign Foran personally).
7. Wakeham - needs game time, most potential out of lewis, cogger and himself.
8. Tolman - replaced with Thompson for next year.
9. Katoa - replaced with a top hooker for next year.
10. Napa - I hate you.
11. RFM - I think Britt's slightly a better player overall but RFM is a more dangerous ball runner and in theory should create more, we desperately need this in our team.
12. Jackson
13. Elliott

14. JMK - JMK hopefully next year is going to be a utility player or in reserve grade anyways.
15. To'omaga - honestly starting to think he should start over both our starting props, but Tolman useless off the bench and Napa on too much money (same with Tolman really).
16. Britt
17. Sue (Chris Smith when back from injury)

Basically what I'm saying is I don't see us doing much (to me this season is as close to a write off without saying it is - results wise) regardless where players play so we might as well build combinations to go into 2021 with to give us an advantage. This depends where we're recruiting tho (and possibly why Reimis is in the centres to start with).

1. Avo - showed enough in that play to get the try. Lewis fucked up and he made him look good
2. Meaney
3. DWZ
4. Hoppa the man, our only good player
5. Smith - stay on the wing where u belong
6. Foran - reluctant but hes on our books so why not - Cogger when Foran injures himself. Avo if he have no Foran and push Hop to FB
7. Cheso Wakeham. Cogger should be pushing here though
8. Napa
9. ERGH - JMK - no one else on our books
10. To'omaga
11. Jackson - take a hitup once in a while and show something
12. Britt at the moment i guess.
13. Elliot
14. Ogden
15. Sue
16. RFM
17.Katoa. One of our rookies should be pushing for this spot, make some ***** fight for the jersey. We are missing 2 second rowers from the squad now

Lewis should never be seen near the squad again. He should be shot onsite if he tries to enter the carpark

Best team IMO:

  1. Averillo (Just Cause)
  2. Smith (Needs to play, not at centre and DWZ and Hoppa would be amazing)

  4. Hoppa (Slick, silky hands onto DWZ)
  5. DWZ ( Right next to Hoppa. Yes)
  6. Foran (Five Eight. Can't control but is great at 6. You get what I mean)
  7. Wakeham (He's ready. He can control)
  8. Tolman (D. D. D. Oh and no Lewis so I hope no 4th tackle)
  9. Renolyds (Bring the spark)
  10. Napa (Power. Enforcer)
  11. Jacko (We all know Jacko)
  12. T'Oomonga (Viki Kikau)
  13. Elliott (He's been one of our best in 1&2)
  14. JMK (Utility replacing Averillo)
  15. RFM (Provides spark off of the bench tobash the Opposition)
  16. Ogden (See RFM)
  17. Sue (See RFM)
  18. Meany
  19. Cogger

Most important change will be the coach after he gets out coached by Mary this round.

If 2020 going to be a 'washout' year, let's stop using players that will not be of influence going forward. Instead use promising/potential players & see how they improve through 2020.
Replace meaney, Crichton, Cogger, JMK. Bring in Harper, Wakeham, foran, Katoa, etc
Lets also tweak our game plan. Need to throw more options to opposition, not just one-out plays & easy to read decoy plays. Opposition defence is not under any pressure & commence there attack without any fatigue. Take more chances with more offloads. Don't use excuse like, ' we made too many errors" , " we have a young te a m" .

DWZ- not a fullback- (wing or centre(
Smith- winger only
Napa-need to add more for the money we paying.
Renouf & RFM Need more minutes in the field.
HOPA at fullback.
KOTOA, FORAN, WAKEHAM , HOPA, could do will as a temporary spine.

Shuffling the deck chairs never achieves anything. The fact that almost everyone on TK has a different idea as to who should play where is proof in itself that moving the current roster around positionally will achieve next to nothing. Seriously does any one truly believe that "their" team made up of existing players would have beaten Parramatta or Manly? FMD TTrbojevic scored 2 tries and set up 3 more and drew the defence every time he even looked like getting the ball, leaving space for the others who are not even half as good as they looked. We desperately need a couple of "game breakers", 2 or 3 players who can turn nothing into something and inspire the others. With the Cap space we have we might snag one, maybe, if we are lucky and there is anyone available. But that's about the limit this year, next year is a different story. The fact is swapping Meaney, Hopoate, Averillo or anyone else on our roster to fullback/wing/centre (take your pick) is not going to change a farkin thing.
