I reckon we will get flogged unless all this drama that has happened is cleared up which I doubt will happen.

Warm up match going on at the moment.

Somerset currently 2/247. Chasing plenty of leather for little reward.

England Ashes hopeful Nick Compton scored 81.

since the ashes are held again later in the year, is this even a real ashes?

i guess it will be nice to go into the return series holding the ashes so that the other team will need to win it, but to me its just a warm up series to determine who holds the ashes for 6 months

its like if the olympics were held twice a year in 4 year gaps, a sprinter gets a false start DQ in the first olympics, but he wont mind because there is another olympics so soon

Dunno who the is in the sidee, but if Lyon is and bowls, we're certainly screwed. Regardless of later form, we're missing to big players in Ponting and Hussey. I'll always surport Aussie but of recent times, there's alot against us. Though the Warner incident should add abit of flare.

8-0 to England over the 10 tests only reason I am not saying 10-0 is cause the weather always plays a part in England

I was young enough to only just remember what life was like being whipped by the Windies, England and New Zealand in the 80's.

We emerged from it. We dominated for quite some time. But it appears 30 years later, Australian cricket comes full circle.

Face it folks. We had our days in the sun.
Holiday is long over. Back to hard yards and fighting in the trenches.

I'll still support because I know of no other way. I just hope we are competitive. I want to see someone 'dig in' and go 'f*ck this ... imma stay here at the crease all day'.

England aren't as good as they think they are.
But we are light-years away from our glory days.
Interesting times indeed.

Heros and zeros will be made.

pray for the wettest English summer in history, that's the only chance the aussie cricket team have, way to many dramas on and off the field and not enough time for Darren leheman to work out his team his way

England have won the toss and elected to bat. Good toss to win by the looks.

Big team news for us in Ashton Agar named as the spinner, Cowan at 3, Hughes at 5, Smith at 6. I have my concerns and would've gone with Khawaja and given Lyon first crack but hopefully I'm proven wrong.

So pumped for this!

Not sure who Cowan is blackmailing.... but I hope he performs.

Mrs CroydonDog has hijacked the TV, so I'm resorted to cricinfo for the moment.

Aw well that's senseless
It's normally 2.5 yrs after the Oz series to the UK then 1.5 to the Oz, but this year, due to the international calender (I haven't checked, but its probably due to some 20/20 shit), we're going back to back in a once-off.
