I remember seeing them fly into Sydney; often the glide path took them over our home in Belmore. Always thought they looked wierd.
Constellations were their main long haul competitor, and were my preferred plane for looks, until the De Havilland Comet came along.

Also loved the look of the Fokker F27 which used to fly for Airlines of NSW. Great little plane to fly in.

My all time favourite plane is the Albatros D.III

I'm more of a train nerd than a plane guy, but none the less, I probably got a few semi-interesting photos. Here's the little bugga that took to us to some backwater bits of Alaska about 8 years ago.

I see what you did there :-).
One time I left Almaty and it was -10c.
Flew 4 hours to Abu Dhabi and it was 27c on arrival. First world problems :-).
I once worked in Broome i was working in a freezer -7 for about 10 minutes walk outside to 40+ 100% humidity and lit a cigarette it nearly dropped me
