What are your thoughts on the ongoing umpiring sagas.

Personally, I'd hate to see technology be used every time someone is hit on the pads. I think they are doing their best.

They can't do any better one of the hardest jobs to cope with in sport. They have like less than 0.3 seconds to look where the bowler is landing then look up at the batsmen at eye level.

Very hard job it is and certainly not as easy as it looks

They had an opinion when the rain delay was on this morning that should the 3rd umpire come into the game for like 1 session and the umpires do like an interchange. I reckon personally it is a great idea and if it benefits for the umpires and for the game then im all in for it.

They are doing there best..imo...mr bowden..is kinda a clown...he makes some wrong decisions..but it would be hard being an umpire....

I think they are doing their best. The decisions are probably no more wrong than they have been over the years, it is just that we have technology now that scrutinizes the decisions a lot more closely.

Umpires are human. Errors are inevitable.

As Cammo said, with technology, replays, stump cam etc - umpires are becoming more scrutinised.

technology is the reason billy bowden looks like a Bozo the clown. 80 percent of his decisions are wrong.

the technology is there so why not use it?

in Rugby League they use the video ref when even a blind man can see its a try

They are all in the same boat as the League refs sadly.

The more we advance the harder it is for the mistakes to slip under the radar. I like it just the way it is tbh. Either way people will complain and mistakes by officials tend to even out over time so i'm happy for it to continue the way it is now.

I think they are doing there best, like all sports theres going to be wrong decisions, and in cricket it can be very difficult to determine where the ball pitches where it was going etc

and billy is a champ!! I actually enjoy watching him umpire
It's not often you can say you like watching an umpire do his job

They were some awesome umpires and were mostly spot on everytime

In today's cricket though i would reckon Steve Bucknor & Billy Bowden are probably our best umpires in the game.
