Second shot? You know fuck allGus now having a second shot at getting May
thats over 2 seasons which is equivalent to 475k a season950k for may! Faarrrk that, all mays are bellends.
Hard pass, yuk!
Think roosters will have an ordinary 2025 before making a massive assault with another stacked team for 2026.The Sydney Roosters have approached prop Terrell May to discuss parting ways immediately, granting the Samoan international permission to join a rival club in 2025.
May, who only this year signed a new contract worth around $950,000 over two years, has now been offered the chance to seek a deal elsewhere.
Sources with knowledge of the situation talking on the condition of anonymity said the Roosters feel May doesn’t fit the direction in which the club is heading.
The Roosters are also trying to free up salary cap space to make moves in the player market for 2026 and beyond.
May has been one of the most improved players in the competition over the past two years and is likely to attract plenty of interest.
The 25-year-old is currently representing Samoa in the two-Test series against England in the United Kingdom. He isn’t expected back to Roosters training until closer to the new year.
It’s not certain he will return at all, having been informed by Roosters powerbrokers he is free to explore his options. He has told Samoan teammates on tour he could be leaving the club.
Several NRL clubs are on the lookout for front-rowers, including Wests Tigers, St George Illawarra and Canterbury.
The Bulldogs previously showed interest in signing May, along with brothers Tyrone and Taylan, but pulled their offer after a dispute with his management.
Canterbury are expected to enter the chase for Knights forward Leo Thompson, who is set to attract big-money offers from Canberra and the Dolphins when he becomes a free agent on November 1.
The news of May’s potential release comes the day after Ben Hunt parted ways with the Dragons and the Eels agreed to release skipper Clint Gutherson immediately.
Oh ok, still dont like him though. Concerning though that chooks are getting rid of him.thats over 2 seasons which is equivalent to 475k a season

So many people on here simping for a different version of Napa
Apparently they have too much $$ locked up in the forwardsNo thanks!! there has to be reason the Chooks signed him to a decent deal then have told him to leave immediately.. Look at both his brothers..
Leo Thompson and Pulu (Titans) way better options..
Unless May comes at discount rate (300k)
Do they really think they are going to get someone better than May for $475k, seriously?Apparently they have too much $$ locked up in the forwards
Didn’t they go after Fifita and he rejected them?Apparently they have too much $$ locked up in the forwards
We are the club favourites to snare himDon’t wanna know or care cos I don’t wanna sign him.
that was before crighton extended his contract with the roostersDidn’t they go after Fifita and he rejected them?
I know, just replying to a post saying roosters want may out cause they have too much money invested in the forwards.that was before crighton extended his contract with the roosters
yep..something smells.. if the Chooks get rid of an elite middle something has definately gone on.. They sign or keep anybody no matter what if it helps them win... e.g Blake Fergo, JWH (when he was young), Leniu, Lodge etc...Do they really think they are going to get someone better than May for $475k, seriously?
For 2025 they have already lost JWK and Tupouniua and replaced them with nobody.
Team First
theoretically they do particularly with a few young kids coming through and it makes sense to cut one forward so they can rebuild and sign some quality players for the 2026 seasonI know, just replying to a post saying roosters want may out cause they have too much money invested in the forwards.
